Verizon Spokeperson: "No iPhone in immediate future" & "Look at the Andriod instead"

Sucks. Guess I can always hope that by immediate future he means this summer. Who knows what his definition is.
But even I've said it won't be this summer. This fall at the absolute earliest and more likely early next year to summer of next year.
Either way, it makes sense that if the phone is a few months to a year or more off that they are going to agressively push Android. Especially if a deal isn't final.

No surprises here. Apple is probably only sticking to GSM for their phones until LTE is around in enough markets. It may be possible that the iPhone will come to T-Mobile, but I doubt that too.

I think the iPhone is not coming, not because of this guy, but because the Droid is more successful than the iPhone....

There's no giving up on a Verizon iphone I guess.

I was trying to think of what it would take for me to stop hoping for a Verizon iPhone. I started thinking perhaps if AT&T got their network in better shape, but AT&T will be late to the game w/ LTE and I just don't think HSPA+ is going to do much real-world.
With the rollout of LTE it'll just get more heated.
As a longtime Verizon customer who really wants an iPhone....
I'd totally go for an Andriod device, but I'm kind of anti-Google on principle. All I know is my crappy little Blackberry Storm just isn't cutting it anymore.

True, I wonder if they will build up LTE as fast as Verizon or if they will do something like Tmobile where they want to max out 3G speeds up to 21MB?
