Has anyone used the mail in Verizon trade in program? I'm just wondering how long it took from when you mailed the phone in to when they say it was received.

    Thanks.

I mailed mine in on Sep. 22. Haven't heard a thing. I hope they don't make me regret it.

Well we are in the same boat then. I mailed mine in on the 21st, and have checked using the status checker, it continues to say "not received".

Are you using the status checker on a PC?
I'm checking it on my phone and it just comes up with blank status boxes.

No I've used it on a 6 and an iPad. After you put in the submission id and email or contact number, wait for the page to load and scroll to the bottom. You should see a tan colored area with your submission info and status.

Yeah, mine looks like that except without the tan area. It's all just blank.

I did call them last week and they said it could take 4 to 6 weeks to even start the processing at the warehouse. It won't show recieved until they scan it for the first time.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that earlier ;)

4-6weeks to even show received ? Wow, next time I'm making the store take mine.

I would have liked that too, but I was under the impression that wasn't an option.

Agreed, I didn't know that was even an option. I would have taken it to the store had I known.

You can take to store. Did that last night with an iPhone 4 8gb...they immediately credited my account $200 and didn't even turn the phone on (there were no problems with the phone but I was surprised they didn't verify).

I also mailed in an iphone 5 the other day before it occurred to me to just take to a store. I wish I hadn't mailed the 5.

What prompted me to go to the store was that the return packet on the iPhone 4 was delayed. In fact, I processed that return request on 9/13 and the packet has yet to arrive. I processed the iphone 5 return on 9/17 and received the packet in a few days.

    Verizon trade in program question.

I never even received the box to mail the phone to Verizon and it's been over a week since I registered. I have no idea what's going on.

Update: I just talked to someone at a Verizon corporate store and they told me that I can just bring the phone in the store and receive immediate credit.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're just sitting on the phones(metaphorically) and waiting out the orders, so that people don't bail on the preorders as soon as the credit is applied to an account.

Where did you guys buy the iPhone 6. I was wondering if I bought it at Best Buy if I could still qualify for the $200 credit on my iPhone 4?

I did not have the new phone with me...in fact the line I was trading was my brother's. They simply looked up my account, saw that we just activated a 6, and gave me a receipt for $200.

When I returned home 20 minutes later my account already showed a -$200 balance.

For those participating, I really suggest a quick visit to the store vs. the mailing method.

To update this thread: Verizon received my phone yesterday, and today I received a $200 credit via email.

I bought my 6 from Apple. You just have to activate it on Verizon to qualify for the promo.

Wow, again! I mailed my 2 trades in the envelopes on Monday the 29th of September, and was pleasantly surprised when I received the gift cards via email today, October 8th.

Prior to today they were not even showing up as received.

    Happy Customer.

You can just take it to a VZW store and get credit right away, correct?
