I had been with AT&T for 6+ years when I canceled their service late last month to get a 5s with T-Mobile. They never offered once to cut me any kind of deal to stay, just said they were sorry to see me leave and that was it. I wasn't expecting anything anyway & my mind was already made up to switch, but they did absolutely nothing to try to retain me anyway.
Tmobile has come a long way but for me it still is a few years off until I will jump into it. VZW has always been outrageous in my eyes and right now Att for me is the lesser of the two evils.
I cancelled all my Verizon services. Home phone, Fios and a data plan for a tablet. Too much money for the quality of service they offered.
Not one time did anyone try to keep me as a customer. The Fios rep asked me why I didn't want to stay with their internet at least (canceling TV and Internet). When I told him their rate was too high ($60 a month for 10-15 mbs down) he laughed and asked me if I planned on using AOL. Meanwhile I got 20 mbs down from Comcast at 25.99.
IMO all their services are terrible and/or overpriced.
Once I convert my other line to also be Verizon Edge plan, the bill for my 2 lines will probably be close to $250/month, lol. Which I think is a bit rapey for 2 lines, but I guess you have to pay more to be able to upgrade more, sigh. 4gb share plan.
