Carrier Verizon Update Available 9/15...can I still pre-order 2-year contract?

Hey guys, my contract for Verizon Update is Available 9/15. Anyone know if I pre-order I will still be able to get the phone at contact pricing since the phone will be delivered a day after my contract update day? Anyone have experience with this when they pre-ordered last year?

Trying to see if maybe I should call Verizon and somehow get them to give me a week advance for upgrading.

I called and chatted around today asking this question. My upgrade date is 9/19.

First answer I got was that they could not and would not change my upgrade date to allow me to preorder. I could order 6 days before my upgrade date on 9/13. When I said that doesn't really help me if something sells out they suggested going in store on 9/16. Two chats and two calls gave me this answer.

Finally I got someone in retention to tell me that when there is a release like the iPhone 7, as long as the upgrade date is within 30 days of the preorder date then they would allow me to preorder early. The upgrade date on my online account should change soon.

Log into your Verizon Account and check to see if they changed your upgrade date to make it eligible today, If not then Call Verizon they will allow you do it but they have to do a Manager Over ride.

click upgrade now and see if it offer 2 yr for this folks to check since its not goning to hurt your upgrade until you check out, just click it and see if they offer 2 yr and close out no harm

I had the same concerns you did. I called customer service like 7 times in the past week and they all gave me the same answer. Basically as long you have half of the iPhone paid off you can upgrade whenever you just have to turn your phone back. However,you have to wait until pre-orders are open in order to do the early upgrade. Honestly if you're just wanting gold,rose gold or silver then I think it would be harmful to wait. But if you're wanting the matte black or piano black it might be a risk.

Supposedly the family plan I'm on doesn't offer the contract prices anymore. Either pay full retail or pay monthly. Is it best to preorder through Apple if I want to do the upgrade every year?

My two year upgrade was not eligible until oct-15 when I checked a couple of weeks ago. I just logged into Verizon and it says I'm now eligible. Finally, something simple.

Call Verizon dial (611) on your phone and call Verizon and tell the automated mexashean you want to upgrade and choose option 3 to talk to a CS agent and ask them. Verizon Chat is not that accurate.

Ya I am not getting this at all. Talked to rep and went to manager but they were adamant about "Not being able to override, its impossible." BULL-S obviously so trying to see how i can make this work. Can one of you call and see why they changed your upgrades? Maybe I can say something to get them to make it happen?

I would keep keep checking till tomorrow, it seems they are making changes on upgrade dates as it seems peoples upgrade dates getting changed today. Mine got changed today.

Well I went and checked it and it says my upgrade date is 9/7/2016, and my Original upgrade date is 9/19/2016. Its as if they just changed the upgrade date.

Should be good. I actually just switched to Verizon a month ago and I can upgrade already if I pay 50% of my device.
