Verizon Upgrade Date Changed

Hell, I'm perfectly content to let well enough be and just enjoy my early upgrade. I'm just continuing the discussion because I'm on a discussion forum. Someone asked, I answered, maybe this will see if there is correlation on what qualifies you or not, who knows.

I would too. I'm on an individual plan that I pay ~$130/month for and yet my upgrade date is 18 months after joining vs AT&T's 12 month upgrade schedule.

It definitely helps to find what's common among those getting early upgrades to see how Verizon's upgrade schedule compares to AT&T's. It's already interesting to see that AT&T easily allows early upgrades for the iPhone (6 months or more into contract) while Verizon allows for early upgrades on everything but.

Do you feel entitled because you pay $130? The plan we have has my iPhone and 2 "dumb phones" and its $174 a month and im not getting an early upgrade. You bought the phone with a 2-year contract, you knew it was a 2 year contract. That is what you get, dont like it then see your ass back to AT&T and stop feeling entitled to something you dont deserve.

At&t always let me upgrade for the new Iphone. The first time they tried not to and then everyone complained and they changed the policy right away. I have three Iphones on the same account and spend over $400 a month. I will switch to Sprint even though I don't want to just to make a point with Verizon. I prefer their service and don't mind paying a little more for it, but I like to have the latest gadget and will one way or the other. I just emailed customer service to ask if they will alter my upgrade date. It says Oct 2012 right now. I bought the Verizon Iphone the second day it was available.

Agreed. Interesting to see such different approaches to iPhone upgrades considering AT&T and Verizon usually follow each other.

This is the first time Verizon is between iPhone launches so maybe they're still working on something. Tuesday can't come soon enough.
