Hmmm, wonder how many post paid subscribers att lost. I left att after 15 plus years with them and couldn't be happier with Verizon...faster data, call quality and definitely better customer service, granted, it's only been a month

I've received two emails from att already practically begging me to come back to them lol.

I also left after 15 years to Verizon. I am pretty happy with Verizon as I get better signal everywhere, but I do have a little issue around my house where calls are a bit choppy. They are trying to fix the tower, but still haven't.

I suspect Verizon/Comcast bundles are coming.

I still want to see real 5G in a phone this year but it probably won't happen. I've been hearing T-Mobile has a hybrid up its sleeves.

This!

I called them yesterday because I was interested in some info as a potential customer. I asked 2 questions, and the rep quickly jumped to "can I continue with the credit check?" I said not yet...just want some more info. She quickly said "I really don't feel comfortable going forward." Weirdest thing to say IMO for someone in sales. Isn't it your job to answer questions? Left a bad taste in my mouth for VZ after that. Call me crazy but makes me not want to try them now and will either stay with Tmo or switch back to ATT
In my opinion, it isn't wise to make such a determination off one phone call. For all you know, she could have been new, having a terrible day, or a litany of other things going on. If you had called several times and got the same kind of treatment, I would agree with you.

It's different for each plan since there are all sorts of variables, but around $20 for those taxes + surcharges for my family plan of 4.

The big hidden fee is that if you are under contract, they charge you an additional $20 per line that is under contract as a "line access fee." So normally a person is charged $20 for the LAF, but if they are under contract, it is $40 per month instead.

So if all 4 lines are under contract, then expect $80 more on top of the advertised price of 180.
What kind of contract are you referring to? I didn't think that Verizon had contracts anymore...

They do. Just their monthly plan paying on a phone is a contract. If you try to get out of it, you owe for the phone.
The DPP (device payment plan) is completely different to and separate from the Verizon data plans. Technically speaking, Verizon is no longer offering phone data contract plans, although some older consumers are grandfathered in said plans.
