Het janet1. No darling I actually live on the other side of the world and wouldn't work in a call centre for anyone. Just get sick of people with no brains. Oh and don't waste your little screaming fingers by replying as I'm off to sleep. Bye now

You'll wake up, soon enough.

Now let's get this straight My post was in support of the OP regarding his problems with a company. So who's the one here who decided to make it personal and start screaming and leveling personal attacks? The psychiatric term for what you are doing is "projection", meaning that you are projecting your own bad behavior, on to me. Sorry, that's just not going to work.

The only reason someone decides to take an issue, and make it that persona,l is as a direct result of their own personal experience. You are taking out whatever someone else did to you, on me. Also, the spelling of the term "call centre" is generally only used by those who work at foreign call centers. In the U.S., the term is spelled "call center."

You know, I said I was in customer service. I never said I ever worked for a "call centre." Most companies now outsource that department overseas, and they seem to get real defensive (nasty) when I tell them I want my complaint transferred to "escalations." They usually even attempt to deny that such a department even exists. I'm not that gullible.

So what really happened? Did you get fired from your "call centre" job because of a customer complaint? Do you not realize that with every post, you're making it more and more obvious?

As far as which one of us has "no brains." What I know that you apparently don't, is the law, and that companies in the U.S. do not have the legal right to make up their very own little policies to pretend they are somehow exempt from complying with those laws. Compliance is not optional, it's mandatory.

Now, if that had happened to me, I probably wouldn't have even given them the courtesy of calling 5 people in the company to scream at them. They are required by law to provide me with a receipt upon request, and I wouldn't let them get away with trying BS me, or to turn me into their performing monkey to do their work for them, to get them to comply.

Instead, I'd have just gone ahead and filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, and Internal Revenue Service, and then called their corporate attornies to discuss the relevant U.S. Codes governing their legal responsibility to provide customers with written documentation (ie., receipts) upon request, and massive slews of consumer protection acts which our government created as a direct result of wide-spread abusive practices of various merchants.

I'm not going to post them, but here's a link so you can familiarize yourself with them: http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/stat3.shtm

But I don't have to go through any of that with Verizon anymore, not since they've provided me with a direct line to my very own VP, to handle any future problem I might have, personally.
