Beginning Monday, Verizon is offering an introductory plan that gives you unlimited data on your smartphone and tablet on the best 4G LTE network in the country. With Verizon Unlimited, you also get HD video streaming, Mobile Hotspot, calling and texting to Mexico and Canada and up to 500 MB/day of 4G LTE roaming in Mexico and Canada - included.

Seems too good to be true. If it were just $80/mo for everything I'd drop AT&T in a heartbeat but I'm sure the $80 is just data and you'll pay for network access and a smartphone usage fee and a bunch of other nonsense to get it well into the $140+ range.

This IS Verizon after all.

Seems too good to be true. If it were just $80/mo for everything I'd drop AT&T in a heartbeat but I'm sure the $80 is just data and you'll pay for network access and a smartphone usage fee and a bunch of other nonsense to get it well into the $140+ range.

Starting tomorrow Verizon to feature unlimited data

They say they will deprioritize after 22 gb. That seems fair and better than permanent throttle and when congestion is minimal back to normal. (I wonder when deprioritization became fair in our minds?)

Sounds like their "de-prioritizing" may be better than being "throttled" on other carriers?

Says they "de-prioritize" which sounds better than "throttling". Sounds like it means you'll just get put at "the back of the line" on the specific network resources your locally sharing and not throttled until end of billing cycle. Sounds like de-prioritized means a short rather than long(er) hindrance as we know throttling to be.

If I'm wrong and "de-prioritization" means same as "throttling" then I guess we can than thank them for trying to make it sound like it's better to be de-prioritized than throttled.

With this new plan, is the line access fee going from $20.00 to $45.00 per phone, whether it be single line or multiple? The article on the Verizon site is not crystal clear (at least to me).

so what's the breakdown of this new plan anybody have an idea?because usually employee discount applies only with the data price so I want to know how much is it..also the price doesn't include smart access fee right? that's extra $20 on top of everything + dpp if you have it of course..

$80 for unlimited talk, text AND data+ all applicable local and state sales taxes/regulatory fees.
