gimme the 5G home internet and I will be happy

I totally agree. Even though I have a strong 4G LTE signal get 30-50 Mbps which is way faster than my microwave antenna internet system Verizon doesn't offer home internet at my address. I tried T-Mobile's home internet system and got 3-20 Mbps with 100-300 ms pings which isn't any better than the microwave system. But if I could get 30-50 Mbps that would be sweat. I don't even care if it's 5G.

I got this in a Walmart parking lot Charlotte NC. iPhone 12 VZ playmore plan

☑️ 5G Ultra Wideband is available in my area.
☑️I own a phone that supports it.
?Verizon only makes it available to unlimited plans holders.
❌I don’t have an unlimited plan

is there a way to contact verizon to make the network extend a bit more? I get UW in my back yard but as soon as i get into the house i’m back to 5G.

Verizon today announced that it is ahead of schedule with its rollout of 5G Ultra Wideband technology, and that the faster speed 5G will cover 175 million people by the end of the year.

Both Verizon and AT&T were able to expand their 5G networks in January with the deployment of C-Band 5G spectrum. Verizon pledged to bring 5G Ultra Wideband connectivity to 1,700 cities in January, covering over 100 million people. Verizon says that its accelerated goal of reaching 175 million people at the end of 2022 has been made possible by "the incredible pace of deployment achieved by Verizon's network engineering team."

5G Ultra Wideband from Verizon is up to 10x faster than LTE speeds and can hit speeds of more than a gigabit per second.

Verizon today also announced a new "+play" feature for subscribers, offering a "direct-to-consumer platform" to allow users to discover, purchase, and manage their favorite subscriptions in one place, similar to Apple TV Channels. Verizon customers will have access to exclusive deals through partnerships with Disney+, Netflix, Peloton, and others. +play is set to launch later this year.

Nationally or globally?

Verizon is terrible in NYC. Such slow internet speed and very spotty at times.

I'm waiting for Starlink.
I feel a lot of people are. But the problem is, the rollout is completely slow and back ordered. I think long-term, this will probably be the future, but in a very small segment when you’re comparing the likes of other major carriers.

Prove it!

Verizon 5G in San Diego is terrible and my house is barely 3G. Who knows what it will be when 3G is gone.

I dare you to make me a Verizon Belieber!

Why not get fiber? Its more stable and just as fast or faster.
I am assuming you live in a place that has no fiber internet, and therefor this means 5G is even less likely to reach you.

I get one bar at my home in the middle of town. My work phone is AT&T and gets almost full bars. Not gonna hold my breath for 5G from Verizon any time soon.

I cancelled and ported out of VZW last week to ATT. Saved $80/mo and more stable. Plus Verizon customer service is horrendous. Towers in my area in Kansas City show poor coverage and they refused to do anything to resolve other than say turn on Wi-Fi calling or pay 250 for a network extender. Really awful service. Checked to see the new coverage from VZW. No changes either.

Big red, can’t hear me now! ?

So glad to be done with Verizon. Terrible service. Full bars, no throughout and UW hasn’t netted really any improvement.

Midband has been amazing in my city. I get 1 bar in my apartment but still pull 200+mbps easy. Power was out last night for over an hour and happily hotspotted my iPad to stream which kicked into HD instantly. Good stuff!

My partner has ATT, who hasn’t turned their midband on for our city yet, and was getting .5mbps down at best, he had to join my hotspot ?

I live in a college town that, according to the Verizon map, has 5G. I’ve not found it here but the tiny town down the road has it along with Portland.

Has anyone else’s phone just NEVER connected to UWB with Verizon at all? I live in a city where there is coverage (I’ve confirmed the boxes I see on certain street corners are Verizon’s UWB antennas) and I’ve traveled to numerous cities where it’s covered but still my phone has never connected to it. It only ever utilizes regular 5G and sometimes LTE.

I had an iPhone 12 Pro last year and iPhone 13 mini this year. I’ve verified that even setting Voice and Data to 5G on, and set Data Mode to Use More Data Over 5G but still no luck.

The only thing I can think of is it being a Verizon restriction because I’m on a business plan with my company.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I had to call Verizon because my phone only ever showed 5G even when I was in a 5GUW area. The lady knew exactly what I was talking about. They had to remove and then re-add the lines to their network and within 10 minutes I was getting the signal. So I would try calling first.

I believe T-mobile 5G is provided to all customers, regardless of plan selection. Might be an option if available in your area

In Cheyenne, WY the only places I have found 5G were the T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless stores, otherwise 5G and especially 5G UW are barren.

And the problem with planes is because the altimeters receive too many signals they should never have been designed to receive!!!

It's not 5G that is the problem, it was lazy designers that thought that it would never be a problem. DOH!!!
