Don't see why you're so excited. They're cr*p.

SIKE! I've got an MB (Rev A) and I love it. Best piece of kit I've ever bought without doubt. I still remember how excited I was when it first arrived last summer...

Man, you guys (and maybe gals) are awesome. I never thought my post would bring so many responses. Thanks for all the great answers. I just checked w/ Fedex and my macbook has departed Memphis. I love the community that is Mac and I look forward to communicating more with all you great Mac people in the future.

Awesome dude. You're getting the same model of computer I have (backbook C2D) and trust me, you will love it. On a side note: iWork does all that MS office does and more, but users of office, iWork takes just a little getting used to, but after that, it's a dream (everyone at school is jealous of my papers).

Congrats!

I know when I switched a year ago, I had WindozeXP available, "just in case". I think it was 4 months later that I finally booted into it, just to see if I could, as I was totally enthralled with OS/X and just didn't "need" anything Windoze-oriented.

There's a great book out that helped enormously. Mac OSX: The Missing Manual, Tiger Edition by David Pogue ( Link ). Lots of little hints and tips in there. This is also a great community, so do come back if you have any questions, or just want to share your excitement :D

It Came!

So here I am typing this on my new Macbook. Wow, is all I can say. I've only used it for a few minutes and I like it all. The only thing is, 30GB of my disk space is gone already. Does OS X fill up that much space? Besides that, no surprises and nothing but love.

No, the apps and language translations do. But don't go off deleting stuff you think you don't want until you've used your Mac for awhile - you don't even know what a majority of the stuff is!
