ok guys so i was looking at videos on youtube about the iphone 4 antenna so i saw this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9Otx3XeA-c is about signing a petition for all iphone 4 users to get free bumper cases links are on the description of the video and if u want u can even get a forum signature COME ON GUYS LETS SIGN THIS! 😀

That's the unsubsidized price for the phone. The reason yours cost only $200 was because you signed a 2-year contract with AT&T, and AT&T forked over the other sum of money to Apple.

Everyone's paying that much for the phone. You just don't realize it because it's subsidized by AT&T and they get the money from the subsidy from the dollars you give them each month for service. That's why they have a 2 year contract so they can make sure you pay for your phone in full.
 
I guess if people are unhappy with the performance of the phone they could bring it back, it's within 14 days.

I heard the EVO "4G" is pretty sweet. 🙄
 
I dont need a bumper to correct the reception because my reception has been perfectly fine.

I will of course have a free bumper courtesy of Apply though if they are offering 😉

Or act like LOGICAL thinking adults and demand that the phone, REGARDLESS of cost, works like a CELL PHONE should because it's being advertised, first and foremost, as a cell phone that we are tied to paying a monthly contract for service. That means get a signal.

Thinking logically, and disregarding cost, my phone works just fine unless I hold it in a way that, being right handed, I never hold it.

Couldn't have said it much better. I have no interest in a bumper, free or not - I've never used a case on a PHONE and I don't want to start now. I just want my PHONE to act like a PHONE. This is my 4th iPhone so I have a pretty good idea up to this point as to how the reception should be - and this isn't cutting it. I really hope it's just a bad batch as I've already sold my 3GS.
 
I wouldn't care if I had walked into Walmart and bought the $20 prepaid nokia, I'd still expect it to work as it should and until it did I wouldn't be happy!
 
The amount of time/effort spent trying to get free bumpers > cost of bumpers

Ever hear of opportunity cost people?

There are plenty of phones that provide that, maybe you should check them out.

Unfortunately, a perfectly functioning iPhone 4 is not a right.
