Other Veteran's & Military Store Pre-Pre-Order

Was everyone able to get their order in?

Mine went through fairly quickly, but I was on before the site opened. Kept refreshing until it opened.

It is going slower now, but keep trying!

I was on before it opened and kept refreshing. I cannot believe how slow and awful it was!

yep! this was especially bad when ordering hubby's phone!

with mine it just took forever between steps. took over 30 minutes to get my phone ordered and by then the delivery had slipped to 6 oct..... so then I had to go back and change it to in store pick up and now I have to drive an hour to the store!

since we had to do mine store pick up.... we set his up for the same.....

OY! they made that discount P.A.I.N.F.U.L!

so many times I was tempted to just get on my phone and pay full price.... as that came up even before the military store did!

now more than ever they need to get a way for us to order within the app with our discount!
 
I went on military discount website but the problem is cant get though pre order review, i had no problem buying though from apple via military discount website in the past

I couldn't get into the military website until about 10 minutes after the other stores opened and then I kept getting web page errors. Restarted my browser and selected what I wanted and it said September 24. It then took me to the payment and I realized I hadn't signed back into my Apple account. That took only a few seconds but when everything was completed, I had a Oct 6-11 expected delivery.

There are rather a few militaries in the world where this forum is read. Which military, or is the discount available to ALL military (active and veterans?) in the world?

I believe it is the US military. Service is verified thru id.me so if id.me has access to military status for other nations then all should be good.

Good point. The verification is done by ID.me, so if your country & branch of service uses ID.me then it will be valid for you.

YES! I had to so that. I had the history link and had issues.... finally closed and reentered with my id.me and at least that started the slooooooow, painful process!

same! I was so mad! had to restart the whole process to do in store pick up for the 24th cuz it wouldn't let me edit my delivery order for pick up!

sorry I don't know about if the discount works anywhere other than for us military and veterans. (you use id.me to verficcation.)
 
"funny" thing is I had no issues ordering 2 iMacs on the military site when they went to preorder! it was easy peasy!!!!!!

What I did was to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. There you will see a link for military and veterans. Basically, it's the same as the EPP discount. You'll have to verify your status via ID.me, but once done, you'll see the reduced prices. This was on my MBP - I don't think it's on the iOS app.
