Do they work better for calls in a noisy environment?. The gen1 pick up too much noise and the voice is cut when I am trying to have a call on a normal street. The other party always complains they can’t understand me.
Does nobody uses AirPods for calls on the street????
I do, and it’s never been an issue. AP1, AP2, APP1… I don’t have the AP3 or APP2 yet so I can’t speak to that. Perhaps it’s a signal strength issue with a carrier?

Hopefully the APP2s aren't susceptible to the crackling/rattling/static issue that affects the first-generation APPs (for which Apple has created an official Service Program). The crackling generally manifests itself after about two or three months of use.

How do you review AirPods and not discuss call/mic quality? Does anyone have any input if it has improved?

Most of my colleagues use AirPods Pro for Teams/Discord and sometimes phone calls. The mic quality is consistently bad especially if they are driving.

Not really. Nothing beats the EarPods for calls if you want something cheap that just works well. The mic on those is top tier.

Mine have been flawless. Way better ANC, compared with my recent brand new replacement APP1 earbuds, love the constantly available battery status too.

I briefly thought the battery case wasnt that great, seem to be depleting faster than my old one....then I remembered I've been leaving my WMXM4's at home and the APP2 have been admirably performing double duty :)

Are the tips of a different material? The tips of the AirPods Pro 1 caused severe skin irritation with me.

I've owned Airpods and Airpods Pros and I have been mostly satisfied with the quality. I sent one pair of Pros into repair because of the crackling noise issue. I have since left them behind and now use the Status Pros. I do not have all the interactive options, but the sound quality is far superior. And this is what is most important to me. I would really like to see MacRumors review them. They won't like them because they're not interactive enough, but that's not the priority.

Definitely in the minority here. During my 1st run, fully charged, my right AirPod stopped playing after 10 minutes. Came home and had to put them in the charger to start up again. 2nd run a few days later, they both stopped after 5 minutes and I had to remove them both and then place them back into my ears to continue. Minutes later, they stopped again. My original pros have never had this issue and I was really excited about the new features, especially the volume. They will be returned and I will wait until my original pros die before replacing them.
Experiencing the same issues. Very frustrating. And we're not in the minority here as several people are also having these problems.
