I do have both. Airpods pro 2 is overall awesome product if we are in apple world. Automatic switch to another apple device, wireless charging, form factor are hard to beat and these features don’t exist in bose qc 2 earbuds. I am okay to use bose buds as backup as they are good with playing music, anc is too good definitely better than airpods pro 2. Call quality is decent in quiet environment and okay in noise environment. I got them for 130$ so keeping them. I am not going to pay 250-300 for bose with these limitations.

I stand with you, I agree with this except I didn't return the AirPods II Pro, with all the hassle to connect the BOSE I think I am keeping AirPods this time. Not to mention that my frist gen QC earbuds died out of nowhere and I am waiting a replacement (thanks to Bose great customer service).
Not much hassle to connect the Bose, I’ve found. All I do is pop open Bluetooth settings and tap the “Connect” button. You don’t have to re-pair with any previously-connnected-to devices from scratch or anything.

Yep that $120+tax deal was impossible to beat. Steal of the year. That said, I still think they’re better than APP2 so I’d have paid the $300 for them.

I haven't tried the Bose but the APP2 are a giant improvement in every way compared to the originals.

Apple on September 23 officially launched the second-generation version of the AirPods Pro, introducing updated Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive Transparency, improved sound, and more. Right around the same time, Bose introduced new QuietComfort II earbuds with many similar features, so we thought we'd compare the two to see which has the edge.

Both the QuietComfort II and the AirPods Pro feature in-ear designs with silicone tips, but the QuietComfort II earbuds have a short, thick body rather than a rounded body with a stem like the AirPods Pro.

The AirPods Pro 2 have an excellent fit so it's hard for the QuietComfort II to compete, but they do not move around in the ear and feel secure. Fit will mostly come down to personal preference, of course, but we found the AirPods Pro 2 to fit better, making them more comfortable to wear.

Sound quality for the QuietComfort II earbuds is neutral out of the box, but there is an EQ app that can be used to tailor the sound, something not available on the AirPods Pro 2. The app also allows for pairing with multiple devices (already available with the AirPods), and it allows for customization of the ANC feature.

As for Active Noise Cancellation, the AirPods Pro 2 win out. ANC on the QuietComfort II earbuds is okay, but it's not as good as the AirPods Pro ANC. Apple also does Transparency better, especially with the new Adaptive Transparency that can cut down on loud sounds like sirens without muting all background noise.

The QuietComfort II earbuds come with a charging case, but it's notably larger than the MagSafe charging case that comes with the AirPods Pro 2. The earbuds themselves last for about six hours, the same as the AirPods Pro 2, but the charging case adds just 18 hours of battery, while the AirPods Pro 2 charging case adds up to 24 hours of additional battery life for a total of 30 hours vs. 24 for the QuietComfort II.

Apple sells the AirPods Pro 2 for $250, while the QuietComfort II from Bose are priced at $299, so they're in the same general price bracket. One major upside to the QuietComfort II - they come in black. Apple is still only selling its AirPods Pro in white, with no black option available for those who would prefer a sleeker color.

Make sure to watch the full video up above for a side-by-side comparison of the AirPods Pro and QuietComfort II, and let us know what you think in the comments.

Man, way too apologetic towards these bose.

I am hoping the autoswitching works better. My original Airpods pro does not seem to do the job very well. I am constantly telling it where to switch to. Frustrating when the macbook isn't playing anything and the phone it told to play music and it doesn't make the switch.

Nothing like watching an "Apple v. competitor" video review from a site that promotes and reviews Apple products. No bias here at all....
Sites like this do not care what you buy as long as you buy. They get a kickback when you buy something coming from their site, not just Apple products. Duh.

Thats not the case all the time, I have a wide range of Bose products, from QC25 and after. The QC earbuds was one of the worst pairing and connecting wise, esp when switching between devices, staying connected in while in the case and charging...etc. And from what I am seeing online, the QC Earbuds II did not improve that much regarding this point.

Sorry, it’s over right now. Verizon a week or so back had them for $119.99. Surely a mistake, but many were able to grab a set at that price. Simply unbeatable.
Ahh I gotcha. Well I'm in Canaderp so I wouldn't have been able to take advantage anyways sadly.

The originals had a VERY different communication method over BT. The QC II are not the QC I. I've had exactly zero issues switching between devices on the QC II earbuds.

This guy's ANC part is total BS. I have the AirPods Pro 2 and the Original Bose QC earbuds. The ANC in the AirPods isn't any better than the older Bose. I find it hard to believe the QC II is worse at ANC than the QC I. Also in certain cases the original Bose still beat the AirPods so I don't buy it for a second. If anyone is wondering about the sound quality. The AirPods definitely sounds better than the QC I which I appreciate.

I was going to go with Bose, but didn’t realize you have to “twist” for a secure fit. Ugh, what a hassle! AirPods it is. Thanks for calling this out!

Hopefully this is correct, because reddit is full of QC II connection issues, my pair is on the way. We will see lol

The ANC in the new Bose buds is next level, I have had them a few days now and it really is exceptional I'd be amazed if the APP2 (which I have ordered) will be better. They are better than anythying I have owned over or in-ears.

What I will say is I have had a few glitches where the ANC did not kick in at all which giving the benefit of the doubt could explain the reviewers comments?

This review is hilarious. The ANC and sound quality on the Bose is so far ahead of the AirPods Pro 2 it's not even close. The ANC on the QCII earbuds is better than on my Sony XM5, which is pretty much staggering for in-ear buds. I also had my wife compare the AirPods Pro 2 to the Bose QCII earbuds and she couldn't believe the difference, either.

Anyway, if you want the best sound quality/ANC, you go with the Bose. If you want the seamless transition between different devices/smaller case/wireless charging/mic quality, you go with AirPods Pro 2. For me, ANC + sound quality (bass is miles ahead of Apple's) trumps all, so Bose it is. I use my AirPods Gen 3 for calls. The AirPods Pro 2 got sent back.
I can second this. Based on this comment, I went ahead and ordered my Bose QCII earbuds and I can confirm the ANC on the QCII earbuds is amazing - a clear difference when compared with the AirPods. Active ANC is also very effective. I've got two extremely loud, noisy parrots in the living room and their screaming in the background has been reduced to an audible, but much bearable volume. This was my main reason for buying these as I need to focus on work and cannot with their noisy periods during the early hours of the day. I can finally turn on background sounds on my phone and work in peace. I should add, the sound quality on these ear buds is crisp - wow. I realize these may not play that well with all my Apple devices but a good investment nonetheless.

Dude: thank you SO MUCH for this review. After 24+ hours with the Bose QEII (after 3 weeks with the AirPods Pro 2), I'm happily selling the latter.

You're more than welcome! I'm sure there's a lot of people missing out on the Bose QCII that really would prefer them to the AirPods Pro 2. So it goes! Several weeks and I still find the Bose sheer magic.

To follow up on this, just took a family flight with Sony XM4, Sony XM5, Bose QC35 headphones, AirPods Pro 2 and Bose QCII airbuds. The Bose QCII earbuds are by FAR the best at noise canceling everything on the flight - engines, voices etc. I still can’t quite believe the witchcraft that BOSE has stirred up in their ANC cauldron. They’re in another league from the rest.

Cat II that just came out will further reduce those to an inaudible level after the initial calibration shriek.
