Video quality using Photo Booth on iMac?

Looked all over for answer to this but couldn't find it. Anybody know what quality of video you're getting if you use photo booth on mac? Thanks.

Do you mean the compression settings or the resolution? The latter is dependent on the exact Mac model.

As for the compression, macOS will probably use HEVC for encoding the video.

2017 iMac camera is very poor​

It seems to be a 720p camera, meaning the resolution is 1280x720, which is an HD, albeit low, standard.

You can also check for yourself and record some video with the camera and then open the saved file in QuickTime Player and open the Inspector (CMD+I) to see the actual Resolution listed there.
