Loose the straps. Knit band may look classy but not practical and they know that is why the second strap looks like a last minute fix..
Second band also suck.
Remove the front screen and make the device plastic to cut cost and weight.
Loose the expensive powerbank and allow for use of own powerbank to cut cost.
Loose the overpriced charger and only put cable in the package.
Field of view is lower than quest 3 and that needs to be fixed.
Allow for controllers and use of steam VR/pc support.
If that happens i might consider gen 4
You have to get through the first one to get to the second one. There is no skipping otherwise youll never release because its never good enough. Here’s my tip: wait for the 2nd generation.
Its already compatible with controllers.Loose the straps. Knit band may look classy but not practical and they know that is why the second strap looks like a last minute fix..

Its a v1 for sure… its just that its not a perfect v1 similar to the iPad and iPhone imo. There is not perfect v1. Thats why its v1.Buyers need to understand that this is a beta product. The product in this case in Apple Vision Pro. Not joking, but the trend nowadays is to pay to get a beta product and test it, and it seems people are fine with that.
The third generation will be better than the second. Fourth will be even better, so best to wait until the fourth gen. Here’s my tip: wait for the 2nd generation.
Thats not what I said …Aesthetics is more important to you than features?
Got it.
That's my plan. The third generation will be better than the second. Fourth will be even better, so best to wait until the fourth gen.
How exactly are people being entitled if they expect a better version?Man oh mighty, this product sure is bringing out the entitlement in people. Can't we all just appreciate it for what it is?
How exactly are people being entitled if they expect a better version?
That makes no sense.
Are we only allowed to uncritically adulate Apple Inc?
Count me out of your Apple circle club.
This is a Beta product. Pointing out its current flaws — of which there are many — does not make us entitled.
Here’s my tip: wait for the 2nd generation.
I wonder if it's possible for them to use transparent OLED somehow with blackout shades you can pull back when interacting with the outside so people just see your actual eyes.Version two really needs to improve on this. First step: delete the front glass. The digital eyes are creepy as F.
Save weight, improve the internal OLED lenses, cut the price, make this thing much more comfortable and consumer-price friendly while delivering the most lifelike image possible.
Yes, but you can’t deny that the differences between some generations can be much more significant and often that’s very true between the first generation and the second generation of a product. When you purchase a first generation product, there’s an increased chance you just became an unofficial member of the beta testing team. So for anyone who purchases the first generation AVP, would you please report any issues you experience to Apple. They need and appreciate your input to help them refine the design for the next generation. The third generation will be better than the second. Fourth will be even better, so best to wait until the fourth gen.
You have to appreciate the role these early adopters play in helping Apple bring us a much improved AVP if we decide to get one in 2025 or 2026. The input from them will be very important to Apple.I said that as soon as it was announced and people really didn’t like it. But that’s the rule for people who have experience with Apple product launches - never buy a first generation Apple product.
Gen 1 generally has significant flaws, but very soon, version 2 will be out and fix the vast majority of them. They very quickly fix the biggest issues and reach a place of stability, and after that it’s mostly missable, incremental updates.
I expect that within 18 months we’ll see a revision which is significantly lighter, with a larger FOV and better battery life, and with support for multiple virtual Mac displays. Apple will say that the power of the M3/M4 chip is what allows that.
Until then, the privilege of being a beta tester will cost you almost $200/month.
