Yup, not sure if this is posted anywhere else in the post, but its called Aeroglass, requires a high end video card. And because of it, it's going to reduce OpenGL Performace by 50%besler3035 said:Didn't you know? Everything in Vista is transparent so that you can barely see how bad the operating system is.
Sedulous said:Apparently Microsoft will include a Chess game in Vista. Is this a move to add a little class to their product or is it to further confuse users? Now Windows users are going to be very disoriented without Solitaire. Surely they could have made an updated 3D version.

Oh! That's competition for the unbalanced space to the left of the search bar in iTunes 5.blaskillet4 said:Yeah, as Nermal pointed out, I was talking about the huge gap... I don't get why its like that. Its a waste of space... Not to mention, fugly...

RobHague said:Hate to sound a doom-sayer btw, but I was just thinking (dont take any of this the wrong way - its just random thoughts outloud) Apple switch to Intel > Offering systems using CPU's that are available, and have equivelents on standard PC's. They are cheaper (im assuming Apple's pricing will remain 'premium') which makes Build-Quality and Mac-OSX the 'difference'.
Now vista is using features simular to OSX. To the average users (even if MS's versions are poorly implimented) thats removing another reason why they might consider a Mac. Vista has 'uber security' too they are told (come on you know MS are going to boast that constantley no matter what), it has all the bells and whistles and fancy features. Suddenly OSX does not look so special - that leaves 'Build Quality'. But which is going to win over joe public? Build-Quality for a premium price, or the fact that he can run all those latest games on his new shiny PC as well as all that software?
ZoomZoomZoom said:If Windows Vista ever got as user-friendly, good-looking, and as secure as OS X... then that's a good thing. We'd be getting what Apple is currently offering, and we'd be getting it at a cheaper price. I don't buy Apple because it's "Apple" - I buy it because it's better. If that changes, then there's no reason to stick to apple.
