Just try going to their home page and then even finding the Fusion product page (I had to google to find a direct link). From the website, you wouldn't even know they sell software. It seems to be one of those companies that feels if you need to ask, they don't want you as a customer.

It's typical for B2B organizations where the bulk of their revenues come from high-touch sales processes.

A warning about installing the new VMWare Fusion Player version 13 personal/non-commercial license:

VMWare's website's procedure for registering the new version is (last I checked) completely broken:

I had to uninstall the new Fusion Player 13, and re-install the old Tech Preview (beta version) for Apple Silicon from the .dmg I previously downloaded. Thankfully, that worked.

Just managed to register for fusion 13 free licence was still getting the blank page but kept hitting refresh in safari on the blank page and it eventually loaded and gave me a key to use more luck than anything I think.

You need to download one of the 22.04 daily images to get it running in Fusion on Apple Silicon.
..is the end result worth it c.f. UTM or Multipass - which work fine for command line/server apps, but lack frills such as accelerated graphics/desktop integration?

Registration for a personal license just worked for me. 2018 Intel Mac mini. Linux Mint 21 and Windows 11 running normally.

Found and was able to install an older (June) Windows 11 Arm iso file, but can't seem to get VMware Tools installed. Tools are on the D drive, but Setup doesn't work nor does setup.ps1 from PowerShell. Any suggestions? (Besides going back to Parallels...)

I looked at getting the free version of Fusion, but when I went to set up an account it asked for too much personal information (address, phone number, etc.). Can I feed it made up information (other than email)?

Also, I'm an idiot and cannot figure where to get the 21H2 ISO. I registered with MS for the Insider Program, but could only download the .vdhx version of WoA.

You'll need an Intel Mac to run High Sierra in Parallels. If you have an AS Mac, Parallels won't run Mac OS's prior to Monterey, if I'm not mistaken. Why High Sierra?
I would like to run Adobe Creative Suite 6, which is 32-bit.

I have an old 17" Mac Pro laptop with everything installed and set up, so that just seems to make sense for an image to run.

I get stuck here: any idea how do get by?

The VMWare blog states, I reach the desktop with no networking, but here I have to press the button which is greyed out :-(

SOLUTION:
press Shift+F10 (fn+Shift+F10)
then enter
oobe\bypassnro
-> then you get "I don't have Internet"

Thanks, I've been able to install Windows 11 but I don't know how to install VMWare Tools. Maybe I just can't find the correct .iso. I've tried to load disk images I've downloaded from the VMWare website but nothing happens. Thoughts?
Boot up your Windows VM and then go to:
Menubar > Virtual Machines > Install VMware Tools

The search for PowerShell in the search box, right click on it and choose "run as administrator"
In the PowerShell window run the following command:
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
Then use explorer to navigate to the CD drive, right click on setup.ps1 and choose "run as administrator"

You will then see a Power Shell window open and the drivers will be installed.

Dumb question: how do I get function keys to show up on my Touchbar.

I got my Player license - but can only see version 12 (for INTEL Macs) available for me to download.
Anyone know how to download version 13 (M1 Macs)? Cheers.

I've managed to install successfully but when I try and open Windows Security I get the error "This app can't open. Check the Store for more info about Windows Security".

I've installed the Store but still keep getting this error. Is this normal on Release Previews or is there a fix?

So, if I've been using the VMware Public Tech Preview, I can now upgrade to Version 13?
Well damn. Upgraded from the Tech Preview to v13 and my Ubuntu VMs that were created with the Tech Preview are no longer booting up. Grrrrrr. Should have known better than to upgrade so soon.
