I've submitted a couple bug reports to them. I'm not sure if others are submitting reports too and if it's high enough up on their radar. I know my wife experiences this too so I'm sure if it's wide spread that it has to be a big deal.
Agreed. I don't understand how the transcriptions can be so terrible. But, I shouldn't have expected it to be that good since the Dictation and even Spellcheck isn't all that good.
This has been driving me crazy!!! I've received a few voicemails lately that are rather important and it takes upwards of 10-15 tries to get this to work! Happening on my SE so its not just newer phones. Can't believe this hasn't been addressed yet!
I have spent a total of 3 hours with AT&T on this. They rebuilt my voicemail inbox, reset my network settings several times, and changed some settings on the back end. Nothing has worked. Yesterday after an hour with AT&T they transferred me to Apple. I have a case started and they are supposed to get back to me. Will post an update when I have one.
My issue still occurs; i have even wiped my phone and started from scratch on it (i.e., I did not restore my phone) and the issue still happens. Very annoying. There are 3 other iphones in my house and none of them have this issue. This is very perplexing.
I restored my phone and it did not help. Anecdotally I noticed that this happens when I am on LTE and does not occur when I am on WiFi. I also noticed that when the voicemail closes, at the top of the screen I get the spinning asterisk icon meaning that data is being transferred. not sure what all this means.
Same on a 6s plus. Voicemail is a basic expected property of telephones for the last 40 years. Unbelievable that the wealthiest company on earth is blowing everything so badly.
