The new version of Thunderbird brings the ugly color bug.

To prevent Thunderbird from being updated during a system update

xbps-pkgdb -m hold thunderbird

Perhaps there is an other solution to fix the color?

And: I changed keyboard language and now i´ve another problem: sometimes i lost the return and the space -key; i´v have to use SHIFT-key with return/space key, than it works.
Do i have to choose another keybord?

Looks like the same problem, i have at the moment. I see you are from germany, too. Perhaps a problem with the german key layout.

Have you found a solution for that problem?

I also have it with US International with dead-keys, but having LibreOffice open seems to fix it for me.
I have tested different german layouts, all the same problem.

Tested 2 different keyboard types

No idea, but i will test the libre way, until i get a better solution.

I have/had the same problem with en-us layout. Figured it out. Make sure the "num-lock" key is enabled and the problem goes away. At least for me anyway.

Cheers
Did you installed numlockx for that, used keyboard Layout options, or press NUM manually?

I have installed numlockx. I will report after testing.

Desktop firewall for Void PPC Linux:
Could you please put (if you have) the source for this?

@wicknix

I've finally received the parts and could rebuild my iMac G5 but I didn't have any backups from my original HDD, and installed the XFCE-glibc ISO (the current and the old one) to test if a stock system would have the problems to opening your browsers, and indeed it have.

It was complaining about the old libicui18n (67 version) and I tried to link manually any request that was made, so:
Code:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libicui18n.so.69 /usr/lib/libicui18n.so.67
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libicuuc.so.69 /usr/lib/libicuuc.so.67
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libicudata.so.69 /usr/lib/libicudata.so.67
But in the end after it was all linked it still miss the version 67 giving me this error:
Code:
/opt/spiderweb/libxul.so: undefined symbol: ucol_getAvailable_67

So the only way that I think if you still get the old libraries and upload (I don't know if only can work with one version of this specific library) or if you could compile against the new library.

Can you help to solve this issue?

Thanks

Yeah, i did update my G5 finally after roughly a year, and indeed IW/SW broke due to the ICU update. I tried to rebuild with gcc10, but it failed with linking errors at the very end. I'll try again one of these days. I hope gcc9 got left behind when the updates installed gcc10. If it did, i'll be able to rebuild them again. If not, then the 64bit builds are basically dead for void64 as UXP doesn't build on anything higher than gcc9.

Edit: Well... gcc9 is gone, and also not found in the repository. Guess 64bit users will have to use firefox-esr or eolie. At least the Arctic Fox build still works.

Cheers

Anyone who has running "Oh My Zsh" with "powerlevel10k"?

powerlevel10k is runnig, but i must compile gitstatus (without the terminal gives an error. you can disable gitstatus, but it would be nice when all is working)

I've followed the gude but i get this error
iilknlicbpkgdkni.png

./build -w -s -d -c ppc64 docker
./build -w -s -d -c powerpc64 docker
./build -w -s -d -c docker

All give me the error:[error] unexpected positional argument.

Any ideas?

@wicknix : Looks like numlock is working, no problem since install numlockx and ad it to my lightdm, thanks :)

Hi All,

Do you still know the old pinball game from the Microsoft Windows Plus! package for Windows 95? It was also available for Windows NT4, Windows 2000, and for Windows XP.

This game was decompiled and rewritten for Windows, Linux, macOS, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch, webOS TV, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, and for Nintendo 3DS. It works also on Wine.

Fortunately I was able to backport some big endian patches from the Wii U port to the official port and after that I was able to compile it for Linux PowerPC.
It works very well on Void PPC and I have a lot of fun with playing this game! ?

Got MATE working, it feels like home. Gnome 2 was my first DE ever, so I'm always happy to use it, even when I play around with other DEs.

I don't have a debian 64-bit install. This linux dev G5 boots Ubuntu 12 remix (32-bit rootfs w/64-bit kernel), void64, and Leopard. It'd have be a community member volunteering to build it. The last debian 64-bit build was 27.11.0 shared by the mintppc project. I think the powerprogress people built it as well. https://repo.powerprogress.org/

Cheers
