I don't. The only VPN I use is OpenVPN back into my own network.

The fact that so many people have fallen for the marketing of VPNs is astounding. Worried about what you're doing online, but you're happy to trust some random company with all of your traffic. Absolute madness brought about primarily by heavy youtube sponsorship deals.

i use bolehVPN for years. Looking for a replacement. It has sometimes hangs up while resolving the DNS of a web site. Some times you can see they replaced DNS servers with their own, some times not. Either way the DNS is very slow.
-Most of their servers are in Europe of far east.
-they offer prebuilt config files for the ios openVPN app. nice to run a vpn on the iPone. odd enough the DNS issue is not experienced on the iPhone

looking for a new vpn:
runs on the iPhone
has more servers in Mexico and the US.

pfSense has come out with version 2.50 finally. They got rid of openVPN and now use wireGuard as a default wizzard. Do i need a public vpn that offers wireGuard setup files for ios.

i almost always run a vpn while on line. I get few pop up adds

ExpressVPN is targeting its own brand called "Lightway" its still in beta, but claims connecting/disconcerting devices will be faster. I'm wondering if that will become the default on install..

As long as "Automatic" setting is not removed and users still have a choice, the that's fine by me. They say, its not be pushed, but you know, something new is always encouraged most likely, and silently goes down that path one way or another.

So could be marketing... Others may even catch on, which may be really scary.

I have a VPN into my office and a VPN into China(specifically for AWS Beijing access). I do not use a personal VPN and wouldn't, that is a lot of personal information to give away to a third party just to bypass a geo lock. And of course VPN do nothing to protect you from ads and tracking, quite the opposite as you are giving a third party every keystroke.

for a personal vpn situation pick a providor that does their banking off shore the country where you live. Out side the Group of 20 too.
