VZW Order Status Thread

interesting policy - i called fed ex to see if they could just hold my package at the depot and Ill go get it, rather than waiting around day. They looked it up and said "verizon has restrictions on the deliveries and only verizon can call and change anything about the shipment" Seems that Apple must make them adhere to a policy so no one gets phones early???

Seems to be. Mine left Newark, Nj at 1:13am this morning, and supposedly was scanned in at 6:49am at Edison.



Edison is only about 35 minutes from Newark.
 
mine left newark last night at 6:45 pm, got to Sandston, VA at 4:45 this morning. still not out for delivery and Sandston is a little more than an hour from me. Looks like they're really pushing that whole "before 8 PM thing"
 
FedEx Tease

Fedex Truck pulled into my parking lot a few minutes ago. I hung out the window like a hooker in a cheap motel. Driver got out with a massive package, and I hollered out "That's not an iPhone!" Driver cracked up.
 
My Ship Date got pushed up from 10/7! ...to 10/3 womp womp

Really wanna find that VZW rep who told me I'd get it today:mad:
 
Mines been at the destination sort facility for almost 12 hours now and that facility is 2 hours away! FedEx needs to hurry up! On that note, I can't believe my FedEx driver drives 4 hours roundtrip everyday just to make deliveries out here...gotta love living in the middle of nowhere...stupid Army.

Or they'll just bitch and moan to customer service and "jump the line" back to their previous spot, pushing people like me further down the line.

Exactly Ian......................exactly!:( I'm in the 917XX's with a 12:35 am conformation for the same model. I see the dates are moving up though. so who knows.... I don't see anymore "jump the Line" stuff to be legitimate after the launch today. We'll see.
 
I pre-ordered my 6+ via Verizon about 6:30AM EST (so 3 or so hours after they began) and my expected ship date was Oct 14, even as of last night. I checked again today and it is now Oct 10. Seems consistent with what some others have posted -- 4 days less. Hopefully in the next few days, it turns into 20 days less :).
 
Well, I won't be getting my iPhone today :( It's still sitting in PA and USPS says it'll ship tomorrow. I know, first world problems right? Ugh, I was really looking forward to holding that bad boy today. That's awesome that everyone else is getting theirs today though :)

USPS?? Who did you order from? That's why I hate USPS, their tracking system and estimated delivery dates are HORRIBLE, my Ghost Armor was suppose to get here yesterday, the tracking information online still says delivered by 9/18...what a joke.

I just checked and they updated it to say expected delivery of today and that it's on time. And they wonder why no one wants to ship anything with USPS.

Mine is still at 3:00 PM surprisingly. Hopefully that's the case, because I have to leave for the weekend at 5:00 :eek:

Does anyone know how accurate the deliver by time is for FedEx?

I cancelled my order for a 16GB gold 6+ from verizon after I couldn't download iOS 8 and realized I only had 1 GB remaining on my current iPhone. After I canceled I noticed that the iPhone 6+ 64 were all really late shipping dates from verizon. So I went to the online Apple Store and noticed their shipping times only say 3-4 weeks instead of 11/4. So for people that canceled and can't get one from the store, order from apple and you'll hopefully get it quicker.
 
i am pretty sure Verizon just took 4 days off every date in october this morning. mine went from 14th to 10th, people who were 7th went to 3rd. i called them several times and they told me over and over that anyone who ordered by 4:15am on friday will be filled by 10/7. we shall see...

There's a difference between 'destination sort facility' and 'local FedEx facility.' The destination sort facility is a massive sorting operation where they further subdivide packages. In some areas, the two may be the same place, if you live in a big enough city. Those of us that live in a rural area though, have smaller local facilities that are being swamped about now :D
 
Damn, I really wish I had the opportunity to preorder it from apple, rather than Verizon, and do personal pickup. Mine is in a nearby Fedex Facility, not even on the truck yet, and it's going on 9am. Expected delivery is today, but by 8pm. Looks like I won't have my unboxing and review video up today, but I'll do my Pebble Steel that arrived yesterday.
 
Ugh

Stayed in Newark, NJ this whole week. 9:41 last night left for Indianapolis. Left Indy at 4:54 this morning and arrived in Norfolk, VA. It's been sitting in the sort facility in Virginia Beach since 7:43 this morning. Killing me here.
