Have stated before but here it is again. I ordered a 6+ 64GB SG on 10/17 expected ship date 11/4 bumped to 10/31. Has not moved since. I'm hoping everyone is getting an approximate 3-week bump. It seems I picked the right model, now if those 8 planes carrying 1.6 million iPhones would loosen up this congestion we're all experiencing.

I would be fine with the planes flying over my house and dropping my phone out the back on a tiny parachute.

I Agree, it seems like its a 2-3 week earlier than expected for most models/orders I have seen so far. Lets keep it up.

8 planes coming in from China right now?

Well, just recently landed, the 8th is almost to Louisville. That'll be the last plane before China celebrates their holiday. Which I believe is only one day and China is like 15 hours ahead of us. So it's already tomorrow.

gotcha, its like the 1-7th of OCT, but from what I read, people still work, just get paid triple time or something. I can't imagine that there would be NO movement on phones for a whole week. That would be very bad for business.

Finally got the tracking number for my wife's phone today. Now this is coming from Verizon and is a Space Gray 128gb 6 Plus. Catch is now she wants gold. Anyone have luck taking a phone ordered from Verizon into the Apple store to exchange for another color or do I need to go into a Verizon store?

Golden Week

I found this on the Internet about "Golden Week" which is this week in China. As others have said, I connot imagine that there would not be large bonuses for working. Oct. 1st to 7th is the so-called "Golden Week”.

Holiday Schedule
The legal holiday for National Day is currently 3 days in mainland China, 2 days in Macau and 1 day in Hong Kong. In mainland, the 3-day is usually connected with the weekends ahead and after, hence people can enjoy a 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th, which is the well-known “Golden Week”. This is the longest public holiday in China besides the Spring Festival holiday. Falling in the autumn generally with clear weather and comfortable temperature, the holiday is a popular period for travel.

Travel Tips
During the Golden Week, lots of Chinese go traveling. It leads to a sea of people at attraction sites; train tickets difficult to get; flight tickets cost more than usual; and hotel rooms in short supply…

Thanks for posting that. I did find this, its dated oct 2012, but I would imagine it still in effect now. I read somewhere else that workers get paid triple time, and that since Foxconn is not a government plant it remains open...

China Labor Watch said the Foxconn workers were required to work during the eight-day holiday from Sept. 30 to Oct. 7 to meet the production demand of iPhone 5.

Foxconn said its employees in China who worked during the holiday did so voluntarily and were being paid three times their normal pay, in accordance with Chinese labor law.

China Labor Watch said workers also beat quality control inspectors, who carried out their own work stoppage after management ignored their complaints.

According to China Labor Watch, Apple and Foxconn had imposed stricter quality standards regarding indentations and scratches on the frames and back covers of the iPhones but did not provide workers with proper training to meet the new demands.

So FOXCONN is where the 6's are coming from, correct? (I probably sound stupid) but I'm just making sure since that article and everything else I looked up comes from 2012 and there are no new articles
