One question I have is will the W1 chip work with the Apple TV? I would love to be able to switch between my phone and the Apple TV. Does anyone know?

No. It's needed to be pair manually.

TV is the centre of your living room and there is no way to know who's watching it at the moment. You don't want to listen to something on the phone and get TV sound when your wife turn Apple TV on.

That is very true. Wonder if there is a way they could use the Siri remote to integrate the W1 chip? Get that close to your headphones and it will ask you to pair like the iphone, but not automatically?
