i agree with you. '08 is more for the n00by people, i think thats why they have FCP/FCE and aperature and all of those 'pro' sort of applications.. too bad you have to pay for them haha.

I'd argue that '06 is more noodish, since only a newb would use a destructive video editor, or want all those ridiculous effects, or not realize that you can cut down to the frame, just like you can in '06 in '08.

To each his own, I guess. I just think '08 is easier, especially since it keeps a library of all your projects and how they are published, and it keeps track of all of your source footage.

I guess it's the old fart in me that doesn't want to learn how to use it all over again, but I've never seen how the new layout actually allowed you to be productive...

i find that part of it very annoying, when i am working on projects i dont want to see all my previous work! i just want what im working with on this project. if i wanted older stuff i would have imported it into the project. i guess my way of thinking is from using the old version too much though..
