Ordered my Quad Core iMac 27" - near on 24 hours ago...
Seems the AppleCare is shipped, the remote is a long way off and the iMac still says 'November'
My apple remote still says "Not yet shipped" - Interesting...
I don't really understand why it would take so long to ship a remote control... Still, it's the iMac that I'd like to see shipping ASAP. Really excited!

Your credit card charge was probably a test to ensure that the funds were available; I suspect that it has now been removed.
Hey Bryan, Like you I have been with this post since the start. Wow, Im exhausted from all the reading but I will stick with it till 4000. Looks like it will be next week at the earlist for me here in Vancouver Canada( ordered apple store on Oct 27th). I cant wait but it looks as if I will have to. Ahhhh, whats a couple more days, I can hack it. Congrats to all whos "beasts" are finding their way home. Good things come to those who wait I like to tell myself.

I ordered the exact same computer the day after you.
The remote landed in alaska 12:59pm, no movement on the i7.
I rang apple today to check everything was ok with my credit card, asked for free expedited shipping. Got it no questions asked. great service!
That reminds me. I should call to see whether all is okay with my card.
I did just the other day, I ordered Oct 26 but it was an i5, changed the order on Nov 6 to an i7. I figured I would kick myself for not spending the extra $180 USD for the i7 and it sounds like it is worth it from what others have said. But I did call to check the status with a rep, they said everything checks out with my payment, two credit cards with different names on them as a student i am getting a little help purchasing this computer. I guess it is just wait and see, but definitely call and make sure, it'd be a shame if that was any kind of a hold up for you!

not sure if im the same shipment as you but mine has been sitting at hong kong over a day now ...another aussie waiting...lol
I canceled my order for the i5 today and ordered the i7 instead with 8gb of ram. I'm no longer worried about the wait as long as it ships this month.
