I'm amazed! UPS set off with my imac on the 11th nov from Shanghai heading to Oxford, UK and it has now left my local ups base and says out for delivery ALREADY!!! After the abuse everyone gave ups i didn't think i would get it until at least next week! Good work ups!

Yours Must of been on the same flight as me, it shipped on 11th heading to reading funnily enough. however mine was in shangai-cologne-shanghai-korea-cologne now in transit for delivery is this the same as you?

Is that you Sebastian? :)

Has your order left China yet?

I got my shipment confirmation today and my UPS info is:
SHANGHAI, CN 12/11/2009 19:04 ORIGIN SCAN
CN 12/11/2009 6:45 BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED

I have a delivery date of November 16th.

I have a hard time believing it will be here on Monday... No way they'll make that deadline.

Yes it is me :)
I haven't received any shipping info yet, only a delivery reference number.
If UPS say your order will be delivered by monday, then expect for it to show up monday or tuesday

You guys think this is nail-bitting? Imagine how I felt when I was tracking my new BTO car coming on the boat from across the pond in Germany. Now THAT was intense. :p

Don't celebrate yet. With UPS, there's probably a big ol' hole clean through the box. Sometimes they like to pick boxes up by stabbing them with giant metal tubes.

Will receive my i7 today.

Yeeehaaa ... ordered an i5 at 10/25 and upgraded it to an i7 at 11/09 ... the canceled my first order an I got a new order number with "priority" ... whatever that means.

A few hours ago the status changed to "Prepared for Shipment" ... earlier than I expected :D

PS: I'm from Germany and it's an standard i7

Well UPS seems fast enough for me, shipped 2 days ago in China, yesterday it was cleared through customs and now out for delivery here in Finland. Considering it's a fragile 20+ kg box, they must have extra flights scheduled just for the imac release..

Will receive my i7 today.

First Swedish shipment I've seen, perhaps mine will ship soon as well :)
When did you place your order? Also, which company are Apple using for deliveries to Sweden?

Yours Must of been on the same flight as me, it shipped on 11th heading to reading funnily enough. however mine was in shangai-cologne-shanghai-korea-cologne now in transit for delivery is this the same as you?

Mine has arrived but I'm up north at the moment!! Its waiting for me in Oxford and i'm nowhere near!!!

what did they say or dont i need to ask...

Still waiting a reply to my email. :(

Due to an error in my original order, they had to cancel and re-order.

I noticed that the original order was "Fast Ship EMEA" , and the new one "Merge in Transit". I wanted to know why, and if this was a slower shipment.

UK here ordered 23rd, imac i5, is anyone getting i5 machines anymore?

All that seems to be shipping out are i7's!!!

Anyone had order number w9136xxxxx ship?

Hopefully your iMac has your tracking number, so it can track your exact position, because I believe she is quite tired of getting shipped from Shanghai and then have to wait even longer in Oxford in order for someone to get jiggy with it.

I wonder how many times the iMac has called your wife/mom/GF/BF to get updates on what you're doing at the moment, she probably will try to get you home sooner and spent the private jet option ($39999 extra) und so weiter... ;)

Great plot for the new movie, "The revenge of the Macs" starring Steven Seagal as Steve Jobs :D

Congrats on a very nice machine. Treat it with the respect it deserves and don't be mad at her for not arriving earlier.

My order (W6553xxxx) for the Core i7 (only CTO option) which I placed on October 30 at about noon PST just went to "Prepared for shipment" a few hours ago. Shipment to the U.S. Ordered through the Education store (I don't think that matters, tbh).

Should I now call and upgrade to an i7, that will never speed things up will it? I may as well just sit and wait! Im so pissed off how people who order a week after me have there machines moving as they ordered i7's!

did you still have the same order number even thought it was canceled or did you get a new one?

I noticed that the original order was "Fast Ship EMEA" , and the new one "Merge in Transit". I wanted to know why, and if this was a slower shipment.

My experience is that 'Fast Ship' usually happens for stock items which are coming directly from the distribution centre and come pretty quickly. 'Merge in transit' means one part of the order is coming from one place to the distribution centre, merged with other items and sent on. Previous experience has shown 'Merge in transit' to be a slower delivery method but unavoidable if you have a non-standard item in the order along with other stock items.

According to my order status my order has now been shipped - but as yet no tracking number and the message "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" I do have an Apple delivery estimate of 26 November 2009 (brings a while new meaning to "on the slow boat from Chine").

I assume as no tracking number yet that the likely reason is the order hasn't been collected by the freight / courier firm and a tracking number assigned (also guessing when this happens might see a more acceptable / realistic delivery date)?

Anyone confirm my assumptions?

Guess I'm not getting my iMac today after all :(
