My "Current Delivery Status" just changed to:
"In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 27 Nov 2009".

Is this when I should expect it, or will I get a tracking number for UPS at this time?

Mine has also just changed to that.

I think it's the date it'll hit the UK distribution centre - We'll get a courier tracking number then. (At least that's what happened with my unibody MBP a few months ago).

Glad to hear you finally got some real information out of them. Has your order been moved over to the new system then?

Unfortunately no, im still Not yet Shipped as at 5am Adelaide time (today according to the shipping ppl my order was originally meant to ship, so ill give that one till tommorw to call back about)

I know who needs to be putting pressure onto Apple now. Some non-apple owned retail stores in AU have stock of the i5 so the "we cant make it because of the lack of video cards" line they are still using is a load of cods-wallop and making them look like uninformed fools.

The buyers for the other retail chains need to pull their fingers out and organise for their corporate clients to start getting stock. Its as simple as that.

The orders for those clients is "constrained" but its uncertain why it is only for certain retail clients and not others. Im guessing the buyers for those groups need to stand up and be counted.

I have a few names and will start calling them today to push it along.
This is chewing up too much of my time and quite frankly i shouldnt have to waste my time doing it but if it helps other receive their orders too ill give it a shot.

TNT has two types of shipping as i can see.
Express (Non Docs)
Economy Express (Non Docs)
enyone know witch of these apple uses?

I thought this day would never come.:D

I am getting more and more irritating with Apple these days. Ordered November 2nd, order showed up as registered with Apple November 4th, and still it says "Shipping: November".

I might have to call them and make them explain why the heck my iMac still haven't moved an inch from China....

I freakin' jealous of all of you who are sitting at home with your perfect machines..

I do live in Norway, but that should'nt be a problem, as I have already seen a couple of guys recived theirs already..

I thought this day would never come.:D

hey congrats mate, how long since you've ordered?

Well i guess my time in this thread is done, since my i7 is full up and running, no hard drive noises unless i'm copying stuff, there may or may not be a slight yellow tint but nothing that I notice unless I'm trying real hard, and no speed issues. The only thing i can complain about is the 'y' key on my wireless keyboard often sticks. I'll give it a little while to see if it unsticks, then i'll ring and get it replaced.

Ordered on the 28/10. Been agony, and Apple have been zero help with the information, but at least it is on its way from Sydney to me as we speak. Will be here tomorrow. Very very excited.

Not to upset all you fine international peeps, but my US Apple Store order for an i7 4GB/1TB/Ext keyboard placed on 11/16 went prepared for shipment tonight, 11/24.

Don't know if it did anything, but I called and talked to an Apple rep yesterday (11/23) to get a status check. Though they had none, though they did offer to upgrade me to priority shipping without me having to ask for it. w00t! :)

Doh! Beat me too it...same exact order and same day placed.

OK, well today is going to be the day. I just checked with Yamato Transport (the local courier) and their website says the iMac and remote are on the truck and out for delivery.

Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that there are no cracks in the screen, it's not DOA and it doesn't have flickering video, a yellow tinge or any other defects.

I'd REALLY hate to have to send it in and go all the way back to Not Yet Shipped again. :(

Thank you dronus for investing the time when you should not have to. Very noble of you.
I may be on the other side of the planet ( but of course my parental roots are not far from you ) but I also feel your pain. A great big pain from my perspective. I honestly have tried and tried to purchase an Apple but it appears they just don't want to send it to me.

I have spoke with several store employees, supervisors, and phoned several service agents and all I have reached are mindless drones, sarcastic idiots, and very poor liars, and not necessarily in that order.

I have posted my story earlier ( say 1000 posts ago or something, as well as 1000 before that, and initially 1000 before that ) . Lets just say I parted with more than $3k on Sept 16th for a 24" and told 10 to 12 days, waited over a month with no explanation as to why. Then my order was cancelled "WTF". Ordered again on Oct 25th and have not recieved anything other than order in process. Totally totally disgusted with Apples process and service. At the end of the day its an imac that I want so I dont really want to press the cancel button but the DELL is really starting to look good ( gag ,hack, cough. that was really painfull to say ). End of Nov is coming vey soon. Time to herd some terds Steve.......

At last!! I finally have a tracking no. Also says that it should be delivered sometime today. 5 weeks after I ordered it. :D

Hi All: Mine was just shipped. I agree with above about the concern for defects. I am relatively new to Mac World. Why all the problems? My five year old Dell works as good as Windows will let it. This forum has been very helpful, but I don't want to join the iMac defect forum.

AMEN!
Mine just landed in Newark NJ. That's about an hour away in middle of the night with no traffic. Just waiting for them to bring it from there to local facility! keeping my fingers cross that it will go out for delivery in the next 4 hours. Wow long road I traveled. Hoping like you it has no troubles, that would be the icing on this stale cake

OK, just to follow up since I have now completely restored from Time Machine (took 20 minutes!!) that my i7 has NO cracks in the screen, NO yellow tint, NO flickering (so far, I understand this sometimes happens after a day of use), and obviously it wasn't DOA.

I know this has become a popular sentiment in here but I have to add my own 2 cents: for those of you still in hell it is SOOOO worth the wait! This thing is beautiful. I had to turn the brightness down to about half because it is so bright at max (default) you need sunglasses. It is brilliantly crisp and worlds better than the 24" mid-2007 I am replacing it with in terms of image quality and sharpness. Oh, and is it FAST! Oh, no hard disk noise either. This machine has a Seagate according to System Profiler and it is hard to hear it at all.

I hope everyone gets theirs soon! So far I'm loving mine and glad I waited it out.

Glad to hear it, Papajz! Like I just said above, you are going to LOVE this beast. ;)

****i7 received this morning :D ****

Ordered about 10pm on 17th November, so just 5 working days to be delivered (I'm in the UK) - whoohooo.

Will have to wait until I finish work before I can get it out of its box :(
