I stand corrected. If I would hurrey up and come visit I would have know that already
so gday!!!!

i was confused for a bit there, "goday" seems such a wierd word. but then again so much gday (as in good day lol).

my imac has just arrived in australia :) so i might have it tomorrow or tuesday. now is a good time to come visit ;) you can see the imac up close :D

I have learnt my lesson from my mistake as well, mostly from the info you have posted in this thread and in the Aussie one. A genuine thank you again dronus.

No worries, im still battling on to get my order via the reseller, and if it helps to speed up other reseller orders than that is a bonus.
I look forward to signing out of this thread also, one day...

Tomorrow is the last day of the month and my status is still on "Not Yet Shipped" As the order was meant to be filled by November ill have to wait until tuesday local time to escalate further.

I hope you get your order soon and your dad enjoys the printer, im hoping us reseller orders might get something as a renumeration for having to wait what will be about 7 weeks to fill the order... maybe...

Seems to me like nobody is coming here anymore, but im not getting tired! im still checking my order status (as i don't have a tracking number yet) every minute of the day!!

I won't give up till its here!

Ordered mine on Friday, 7-10 days delivery, although my receipt/order confirmation says 18th of December. This will be a long wait, for sure.

(i7, 2TB disc. Going to put an extra 8GB RAM in it for a total of 12GB, in the hope that VMware will fly, fly, fly on this beast. :)

I don't think I've got much longer to wait.

Now the "Current Delivery Status" is "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date" with a date of "28 Nov 2009".
And "Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change)" is "03 Dec 2009 (Subject to change)"
The "Assigned Carrier" is now "UK DISTRIBUTION CENTER" so I'm still waiting for a real carrier and tracking number.

Think it could be here tomorrow?

P.S. I ordered on 11 Nov. Anyone from The UK order before me and still waiting?

It does. Trust me. :)

18th of December now seems like two years away! :)

I'm using VMWare 2.1 on an early 2008 MPB 17", with 4GB of RAM, mostly doing development in VS2008, while running the usual mac apps on the side (iTunes, Mail etc.) It tends to get into a swap fest sometimes, which is really annoying. Also, Resharper is a memory hog.

I did contemplate getting a SSD disk, but I am holding off until they get bigger, or if it is possible, get an external SSD disk for the VMware files, if I ain't satisfied by the 18th. :)

My delivery status changed this morning to "prepared for shipment", which I wasn't prepared for. I guess that means Chinese Apple factory slaves don't get Sundays off :)

Deliver-by range is still "30 November - 4 December", so if it gets sent Monday with 2-3 day shipping, they'll make their estimate.

When did you order?

I bought my 27" i7 on Black Friday. Apple says will get to me by Dec 16. Really excited to be getting my first Mac. :D

Does anyone know what the chances are that from the moment you place the order to delivery it won't take 20 days? I really want to order one but I'm at school and I leave on the 18th and I'm not sure which address to give them to make that I get it. I really wish they could just carry the i7 in stores in addition to the i5s. I called the apple store on 5th ave NYC thinking they must have it and they didn't :(

Unlikely. Seem to be pretty slow at getting them out to be honest.

A watched kettle...

Waiting for a 27" i7. The wait is agony now.

Ordered - 19th Nov
Shipped - 23rd Nov
Estimated Delivery Date - 4th Dec
Current Delivery Status - 30th Nov

The Assigned Carrier details haven't changed, so does this mean it's coming on the 30th or the 4th? Any help would be appreciated :)

The 30th (tomorrow! ...well, today for you at this point) would make sense to me since it shipped on the 23rd.

If you received a tracking number in your e-mail (can't tell from your message if you did--you only reference the "Assigned Carrier"), then use that to track the current location. Check the package tracking several times in the morning to see if the status shows the item(s) on the truck for delivery. At least that's how it works on this side of the pond.

Hope that helps in some small way. Good luck and congratulations!

See, this kind of pisses me off. I ordered an identically-spec'd machine on the 19th as well, at 10:38 PST, and mine only today changed status to "Prepared for shipping". Why on earth did yours ship one full week prior to mine?

No offense at all to you, and I hope yours arrives tomorrow and you enjoy it, but I find it powerfully annoying that there appears to be no rhyme or reason to the shipping. It's like they're just filling orders at random.

My IMac took ten days from the date I ordered online. Four of the days were when it was in transit from China to Daytona Beach, Florida.

It arrived Friday and I was NOT disappointed. After years will Dell computers running every imaginable version of Windows and hitting compatibility issues between work and home......I feel like I'm finally free of Dell's issues.

My replacement was ordered on Nov 19 and mine is still Not Yet Shipped. I would expect it to go Prepared for Shipping Monday or Tuesday and get to me by Friday. Apple placed the order and it has Priority shipping. I hope #2 performs better than the original... HD failed on day 5 of operation.

Hey all, longtime lurker first post :)

Just ordered an i5 over the weekend and I got an expected ship date of 14 December. Checked my order status though and it shows as "Prepared for Shipment". Although I did order something else along with the iMac (free printer promo) so maybe it's just the printer shipping first. Hoping against hope everything ships together though!

Hi Guys.
Ordered my i7 thru phone on the online store on the 23th Noon. Apparently was delivered to my doorstep an hour ago (30 Nov). Really happy as they quoted me earliest on the 4th Dec.

At work now, will rush back to check, hope it isn't DOA... Hope those down under will rcv asap.
