Hmm according to the "leaked" specs, we're getting both the Iris Pro AND the 750M, which I'm extremely happy about (since it's the best of both worlds since the Iris Pro will be better at Photoshop/OpenCL) but think that it's overkill so maybe it's not true. Then again if Apple does something suspicious, it's probably for a good reason.

Iris Pro + 750M + 16 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD sounds like a good, but very expensive upgrade if the current prices are any indication.

Hey! If you're a developer, you could always set it up like this:

:D:cool::apple:

What's that code for/do jafingi? I dont get it :(

Also, I really have no idea how I''ve waited this long, because I've become so restless in the last three hours. I can't stop refreshing this thread, like ive got OCD or something...

Whatever will happen in the next two hours, guys, I want you to know that I'll never forget this thread. You've become like a second family to me in the past 5 months.

We should have a reunion next year with broadwell.

Gosh I've spent way to much time on this thread...

Yeah that's another thing. They could have made it cheaper by going to the 4600 route.

Well, as long as it's less than $2599 (for students), I will be fine with that.

One of our Belgian local 'computer' stores just took their MacBook section down on the website. Probably nothing, but let's hope this points to the newer models coming up.
What Belgian store are you talking about? :D
Just made an account and this is my fist post, but I'm following this one from the start :) Really hope the wait is finally over!

Ack, considering this would be my first Mac, and seeing the fervor of this thread....

I dunno if I want to join this whacko apple fanboy hysteria :D:D:D

(space-gray would be soo cool)

This would be my first mac as well, as I think I was the classic silver. Although it'll probably end up covered in a hard case so what's the point. Still trying to decide what type of loincloth would cover the baby's bottom.

Is there any way I can stream this live event without being on an Apple device? Please help! :)

I read somewhere that if you change your user agent you can watch it, as long as you have QuickTime installed. I have no idea whether this is actually will work, I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

IF the leaked specs in the other discussion are correct, here's my guess for the 13" price in the base model:

- i5/4/128: 1299$
- i5/8/128: 1399$ (BTO)
- i5/8/256: 1499$

It looks as a very nice price drop. And now what to do? For sure I need 8GB but what about the SSD?
We will see, less than one hour!!!

Macmall had the prior gen for $700 less - this was the late 2012 model.

That's great. Thank you. Will still go Haswell though, that battery life is too enticing. Might buy my girl a last gen one though. She wouldn't mind, or even notice tbh.

For those wondering, the stream will work fine on Windows. Just make sure you have the latest QuickTime. I use Chrome. I KNOW what Apple says but it will work fine in non-Safari browsers.
