Waiting.....waiting.....waiting...... 2.8/16GB/512 SSD.

One week never felt so long. I wanted an iPad Air too but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on toys in one year.....after all I just finished making payments on my iPad Mini :D

Ipad Air really is a phenomenal product do. It truly, actually is one of their best products ever. They got the weight down, the dimensions are almost perfect and the battery life maintained.

What Ipad lacks is only on the software side!

Yeah, it really needs an update.

Actually it doesn't need much other functionality to make me happy.

1) Fix retina support (only about 40% of the UI supports retina)
2) Speed improvements
3) Smooth scrolling, like when you scroll in a PDF in Preview.app. I hate those scrolling-steps in Word.
4) Bug fixes

Well, I just have to disagree. While I think the issues you raised are very important, I would also like to see some functionality improvements.

Have you tried Office 2013 for Windows? It's a neat product, and perhaps the best piece of software I have ever tried. It's very powerful and has all the features in the world, yet it's fast, lean, elegant, easy to use and pretty much bug free.

Office is still the only reason that keeps me tied to Windows (even if by using BootCamp or Parallels).

Office 2013 has some great features that I would like to see on a Mac version. I wish Microsoft did a Mac Office as good as the one available for Windows. Or that Apple made iWork a worthy competitor, instead of the joke it is.

I agree that the iPad Air is an amazing product. However, despite all that Apple claims about the number of apps available at the App Store, it seriously lacks software.

I do have a 3rd gen iPad, but I haven't touched it for weeks. It simply lacks the kind of software I use. I am a power user and I like multi-tasking and full-featured software. The iPad lacks that.

So I can definitely tell the difference now between retina and non-retina! I got my mid-2009 up and running again for my friend to borrow, and there is a difference in the clarity. What used to look perfectly fine now looks fuzzy. It's a little sad, actually.

Finally got my rMBP on Wednesday. Loving it. I am noticing a big difference in my writing productivity. Kind of weird that just a screen change can do that, but it has.

Review incoming perhaps?

Welcome to the club! What's your opinion so far? Suppose this thread can come to an end since I think just about everyone from the official wait either has their machine or has migrated to the Broadwell thread.

I have the maxed-out 13". I have absolutely no complaints. My screen is perfect and it's just the perfect machine for me. Truly going to be my travel workhorse.

So my waiting is over. :D

Glad you waited for your max-out !! Why settle for less ?

Quich question...

I had a quick question, would this processor be good for things like Photoshop and editing work?

Dual core Intel Core i5-4200U (2.6 GHz)

I just wanted help from someone who is experienced. Thanks! :)

Holy dead thread resurrection, Batman!

And yes it's fine.
