Mine wasn't, but I think that's because I had fraud protection on my SSN due to some recent fraud. In any case it's just a quick phone call. You can sign up for the card now, before the keynote. Doesn't have to be at the time of purchase.
Ah, I was thinking to get the fancy 18m no interest, I'd have to do it then.

Go to your profile page and sift thru all your postings until you get to your first on this amazing thread ;)
Haven't been so active so for me it was on page 2.
Hmm according to my profile page my first post was in July 2016. Does the page display all posts I made, really? There's 25 pages. And post #7 is page 771 of this beautiful experience. I mean thread.

Edit: the profile page lists 492 posts and I made over 2700 (what's this "life" you speak about?) so obviously I'm too prolific to ever find out...

SIRIously what is life going to be like without this thread?

Is it just me, or are the leaked images lackluster especially on the design front in comparison to the XPS or Spectre? Here is hoping that the leaked images were of an early prototype left behind and that we are in for a surprise.

Everyone should take a second and think about the poor people at the apple stores right now buying the "current" MBPs....
not just that, buying it before they board the plane to a country that has no apple stores. SO no return or exchange.... just 3 years of shame living with obsolete hardware. lmao.

I was just thinking - what apple did last time they upgraded the macbook pros is the released the new version that people were sketched out about (huge price bump, no use replaceable hardware) along side buffed versions of the status quo and then slowly faded it out. That was great because it reduced any outrage about changes to nothing. What they do now is make bold changes that piss a lot of people off and basically say "deal with it", which is very infuriating. I wish they would release an old style rMBP with new processors here along side the no usb, no mag-safe, butterfly keyboard, no escape key, screw you MBP but I think those days are over.

I miss the old MacBook.
the straight out the Jobs (era) MacBook.
the full of ports MacBook.
the thick and trusty MacBook.
I hate the new MacBook
the Oled display MacBook.
the no ports MacBook.
the butterfly keyboard MacBook.
I used to love MacBook
what if MacBook made a song about MacBook?
called "I miss the old MacBook"
that would be so MacBook.
that all it was macbook, we still love MacBook.
and I love you like MacBook loves MacBook.

They certainly are ..

Lmao exactly... I'm in NJ and there's like a dozen apple stores within an hour from my house so it's crazy to think of situations like that...

X360 used an architecture close to x86 (if not x86 really), so porting to the One's x86 is easier than porting from the PS3's Cell to X86.

Probably the PS4 could play X360 games easier than it can play PS3 games...

Okay, last time doing the fact checking, last time putting things right. It's bean a pleasure (mostly), although much of the redundancy of this thread could have been spared if people would do a little research for themselves before posting…

The PS3 uses Cell-processors, and the Xbox360 uses PowerPC (yep, those CPUs we had in Macs before Intel). Both are pretty similar in architecture, and completely different from x86. The reason the Xbox One can emulate is… Microsoft bothered. It actually works by emulating a 360 OS per-game, kind of similar to Rosetta in OS X till Snow Leopard.
So, Sony could have offered backwards compatibility, it would just have been lots of work.

Unfortunately most people won't realize what you're referencing

I was just somehow on like page 370 or something like that I was reading old comments about wwdc and I thought what if the macbooks aren't announced today and they wait until wwdc 2017. I saw everyones comments and thought it was current comments from the last hour or so. What a nightmare!
