A guy that knows a guy heard from a friend's distant cousin that it might be possible that we're gonna get Mac updates today.
Although, it could be any Mac in the lineup, including the non-retina one... AND he said that in the end he might just have referred to the new iPhone. I mean... old iPhone... you know what I'm talking about.

Why would anyone wait for a substandard laptop with an average/middle of the line gtx 950 ?
I'm done with Apple's inferiorware...I'm getting a razer! No OS X but superior hardware which Apple is not in the business of selling anymore, cause they're too busy selling watches!

Apple has never shipped a gaming GPU in their laptops, like ever. For the Adobe CC, I think the GPUs they've provided have been fine in the professional workplace. Not to mention OS X (hands down) is hard to beat when it comes to productivity in and out of apps (vs. gaming, where you're in one game the whole time - again, not Apple's intent here).

Have you seen how much of a beast FCPX is on the rMB? F*ck a dGPU... Apple said, "Don't need it, software optimization on point."

alternatively if you don't have an Apple device, Microsoft Edge works too

I don't have Win10 though. I have Win7 Pro 64-bit.

You don't count the Nvidia GT/GTX GPUs as gaming GPUs? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they found in PCs except clocked a bit higher? I've seen them on Acer's, ASUSs, HP, Sony Vaio (now defunct), and many others...

Crazy, maybe.. but once I got really pissed at Apple and sent an angry email to Tim Cook in the spur of the moment.. Some top level guy in the company contacted me to rectify my problems.

Honestly mate, you will barely notice the difference with the CPU. If there is on announcement today just go ahead and buy it, you will love it :) I am still rocking the very first 2012 15" rMBP and it's lightening fast, even now, 4 years old, is faster than most computers available today.

I'll be upgrading today whether it's announced or not.. The resale value on a new Macbook is pretty good so even if a new redesign does come out in the fall you will only need to add a small amount of money to buy the newer model.

... Anyway, today is the day, I can already smell the disappointment :D

Thanks for the response lol good to know your 2012 rMBP is still going strong. I'm getting ready to watch the Keynote now. I'm thinking I'll just get the 2015 here soon. Even though I may have some Skylake envy when those come out, the model I end up getting will be one I use for years. Enjoy the Keynote, everyone

i think using firefox and masking user agent under settings supposedly works too? I'm not sure about that though
