Go Verizonrumors.com! Go Go GO! You can do it!
More Verizon stuff please! Almost 200 Verizon rumors in a week

WE NEED MORE VERIZON! woowhOOHOOOOOO!

The ones I've been to have been miserable places and quite depressing.

The ones around here are nice.Gleaming clean floors, friendly smiling staff, well stocked orderly shelves.
I've found that the shabby depressing Walmarts are pretty much in shabby depressing areas I wouldn't want to live anyway.Of course that's no excuse for having a substandard store, though.

I wouldn't get to excited i just called and they said we don't have any yet but if we do sometimes its only 4 phones tops!

Wal Mart, be merciful

Have they thought about those people who woke up at 3 am to order their iPhones?

And cue the elitist class snobs who complain about Wal-Mart and the people who shop there...

I find it unimaginably sad that NYC has lost the fight and Walmarts will now move in. Not that I know many New Yorkers that would think about shopping at Walmart. With any luck, they will put it in Times Square for the tourists. They will probably try to put it in the middle of Central Park.

It will be a good place for the homeless people to hang out when the weather is bad.

Got mine Monday from Verizon and quite impressed with how smooth the process went. Love the phone!!:D:D
Good luck tomorrow, hope it all goes well also.

Yup

I called my local, very depressing, Walmart. The mexican woman on the phone was pretty much clueless, and said that they weren't planning on getting any and haven't even heard anything about Verizon getting the iPhone.........I too will be calling tomorrow morning to see if they received any.

Cue the idiots saying that Apple is lowering their image by selling a phone at Wal-Mart.

Oh come on dude.
Walmart!
Yeh a real high end store full of knowledgeable staff able to explain the intricacies of the most complex phone on the planet.

It won't destroy their "perfect" image, I'm sure, but it is a very odd choice for a company such as Apple. It's all about numbers and stock prices now.

i'll shop there

i've seen the same food brands as whole foods except 30% cheaper. i already get a lot of the same stuff as whole foods except at costco with big discounts.

and i have clothes i've bought at wal mart that have outlasted crap i've bought from the fancy/snobby/cool brands

Walmart

So I called again, and they said that he has heard he might get some in. (This person was much more knowledgable than the others). So he said to call tomorrow to see if they have received any. He did however mention that they were supposed to get iPads when they first came out, but said it was at least 2 weeks after launch date that they actually received them.

So little detail. What time will they start selling? Any way to know if your store will have it other than calling around?

Jesus WalMart employees can be idiots. Had two different employees (at different WMs) say WalMart does not even sell the iPhone. Not just their store but any WalMart.

Wal-Mart today announced that it wil offer the Verizon iPhone for sale in nearly 600 of its retail store locations, joining Apple, Verizon, and Best Buy as a launch retailer for the device at its debut for general availability.Verizon had noted in its press release announcing record-breaking pre-sales for the iPhone that Wal-Mart would be carrying the device, but it had been unclear how many locations would be carrying it at launch. Still unknown is exactly which Wal-Mart stores will have the Verizon iPhone tomorrow, so customers should call their local stores to determine availability.

Apple and Verizon have already opened their websites to the general public for iPhone orders, with availability set for tomorrow. Both companies are currently showing shipping estimates of February 18th for new orders, although orders may presumably ship sooner than that as availability allows.

A year or more ago they changed to Walmart from Wal*mart.

Look at their logo.
