You better hope Verizon picks up as good or better than ATT at your house with a quick decision like that.

Its not "He denied insurance" its "He declined insurance." It were being all correct in all.....

So you're saying ETF is too cheap?

Actually as long as the carriers all have similar fees, it's a zero-sum game. Yes it's cheaper for an AT&T client to cancel and move to Verizon, but the reverse is true also. So consumers get to choose based on which is the best fit for them (AT&T fastest network, Verizon best overall coverage, or Sprint cheapest option for lots of data use).
not too cheap but now with the iphone on 3/4 carriers in the US the business situation has changed. why stay at AT&T when you can sell your iphone, pay ETF and buy a new one and spend very little money in the end?not too cheap but now with the iphone on 3/4 carriers in the US the business situation has changed. why stay at AT&T when you can sell your iphone, pay ETF and buy a new one and spend very little money in the end?

Your argument only works if you assume that the three carriers are interchangeable. They're not. If you want fast data, you have to use AT&T. If you want the widest coverage, you have to use Verizon. If you want the cheapest plan for data hogs, you have to use Sprint.

Price is only one factor.

Lets get one thing straight. I made a business decision based on the facts that were given to me by ATT. When I asked Apple to replace it they said it was $200 to fix. I wasn't willing to fork over another $200 on a phone. I was thinking about making a switch 6 months ago before they announced the 4s. I figured if ATT wanted to keep me they would have reached out. No one offered me 250 to upgrade. I did what I thought was best for me. I'm not complaining but making ATT to be saints is ridiculous .

Of course, you could have forked over the $200 to Apple to replace it, still payed the $440 to AT&T to cancel, and then sold your brand new iPhone on eBay or Craigs and only be down $200-300 instead of $440.
