So I have one in my wallet..basic leather. Works fine, fits fine

I'd have thought it might be too thick for a wallet, or that it would look like you have a condom in there. :D How do you deal with the thickness of the disc?

Same, I use to use a tile (before the thin tiles) and although you knew it was in there, it worked fine..

If you used one of the minimalist wallets, you would have to add it via a keyring I think.

It fits in mine but I'm not going to pretend like it doesn't make the wallet noticeably thicker. It's about the thickness of my wallet when I load it up with cash. I'll put up with it for now. Once I start putting cash in my wallet again I think it will be a little too thick for my liking but I guess that's just the cost for now.

Some part of me thinks Apple won't bother with a "slim" version for wallets because of some roundabout marketing BS like "the only wallet you need in Apple World is your Apple Pay Wallet"

I just put in behind my cash and it seems fine. I’m sure it will make the “condom” print at some point but I haven’t noticed it all night

LOL at the condom print, thought that a while back :D

I have a tri-fold leather wallet and it fits fine. I used to have a Tile Pro in there, and then the Tile slim. I'm tempted to try and wrap it in something as it's a slippery fecker that may slip out!

I put an AirTag in my wallet tonight. It's tucked in what would be the upper left corner when the wallet is in my back pocket. It fits good enough that I don't know it's there unless I feel for it.

This is my solution. Waterfield micro wallet and Belkin keychain with a smaller ring. Working fine so far in front pockets. I don't use the magnetic strips on my cards so I don't know if they are affected, but the chips work fine.

Yeah, you want to keep the AirTag away from any rewritable key cards (such as hotel cards). Hmm. I do have a rewritable HID type fob - wonder if the one on my car keys might end up nuking that on me *shrug*. :)

Yes, Apple announced at WWDC that they're supporting getting your government ID's into Apple Wallet with iOS 15. So, I wouldn't expect them to produce a thin card for FindMy.

BUT - this spec has been made available to 3rd parties (there's already bicycles and 3rd party headphones that work with FindMy) - so I'd expect Belkin or another maker to be coming out with a better wallet solution very soon! (me, I'll wait for that). :)

just don't do it in a back pocket wallet

back pocket wallets are known for causing back or leg pain, and the extra thickness of the tag is just going to add to the problem.

plus I'm not sure if the tags are rated to support ~200 lbs squishing it.

I tend to use this as my primary wallet. While I'd prefer to not need a wallet at all, that's usually not realistic. I plan to pop an AirTag in this. Plenty of space and I won't even notice it.

Chums is a great little wallet. Had one and wore it out

I tried putting one in my wallet but found it to bulky. Brought a thin, credit card style Chipolo tracker instead. Works beautifully.

I have the Tile Wallet tracker and I love it. However, since the AirTags are obviously better I have tried a modified version of this:

It is kind of annoying having a keychain for the wallet. I may look into other options. (I have a very very thin card wallet)

I ordered a Finn wallet from Waterfield: it has full RFID protection. They added a loop for me.

I am guessing "No" but will ask anyway.

I have a Magsafe wallet and currently have 2 cards in it. Will an Airtag fit inside? Or will I have to attach the Airtag to somewhere else on the Magsafe leather wallet?

The AirTag will definitely not fit. You could attach the AirTag to the wallet somehow, but that would be awkward and bulky, but you'd have to DIY it onto the wallet.

As far as the Airtag is concerned, it is too thick and would produce a bulge that would wear my leather wallets. My wallets are LV tiaga, dunhill, coach, Tumi, AE shell cordovan, and custom stingray. Apple should had made a flat tracker. The design that they went with looks like a 2008 Apple Product.

Really? You would rather have something made of anodized aluminum with beveled edges that costs $129.99? (oh, and of course it needs to be rechargeable, with a lightning or USB-C port). And "water proof", because, you know, morons love to go swimming with their Apple accessories. *sigh*

Minimalistic, utilitarian design. It wasn't designed for wallets. People stuffing these into them...well, think "princess and the pea" - enjoy!
