The people I know would buy it and be happy with it, but then when they see mine, they will bitch at Apple for coming out with a new one, and I'd just laugh at them because they didn't listen to me :p

It says a lot about the people you know. Other than your little clique of nearly post pubescent friends I don't think most people care.

It seems kind of odd to think of iPhones being sold at Walmart. When I go into a Walmart, it's all low cost commodity stuff. The employees are ... well ... "basic" too. It seems odd that such a cutting-edge high-tech gadget would be sold at such a store.

I bought my 3G at the Apple Store, and I will be buying my iPhone 4 at an Apple Store or Apple's website because it's not just a commodity item; it's a cutting-edge, pushing-the-limits-of-what-the-human-race-can-currently-do, high tech item. Good luck getting tech service from the Walmart employees if it won't sync to your MacBook Air.

Wouldn't it be nice if the human race could not have war?

Just because you buy the iphone at walmart doesn't mean you can't go to the apple store or call apple care for help. Now how would you feel about being called 'basic' by where you work? People working at walmart are doing that working. i work at retail and trust me its customers with pre-constructed notions that the employees are beneath them that get to me the most.

overall its snobs like you that give all us apple fans a bad name, making people think we are all like you.

... my local Walmart and asked if I can come in and get one. "Sorry, no stock!" was the answer. "Oh, who around here has them, then?" was my reply. "Nobody!" was the answer to that ... so what good is it then, to theoretically have them, but practically, it's a joke.

Hmm.
