Didn't apple say that the iPhone's are world phones? I'm pretty sure that was the marketing line for the iPhone 4s
If what you are asking me is does a Verizon iP6/6+ work on every carrier in the whole world for talk/text/LTE, the answer is no. You have to check your carrier's frequencies.
 
Two years ago I took my iPhone 5 from Verizon on vacation to New Zealand and it worked great. However, I could only get 3 g speeds. That may have changed now and maybe you get 4 g?
I also sent an unlocked iPhone 4 AT&T to Australia and it worked fine as well

The iP5 has less bands than the iP5s, but the iP6 has the most.
