I know you said no HP, but I absolutely LOVE my HP C309Q. Wireless setup was SO easy, and I can print/scan/copy from anywhere in the house. Picture prints are amazing as well. If you really dont want HP, then Canon would be the way to go IMO.

I got a Samsung CLX-3175 color laser over 1.5 years ago for $200 and have been very happy with it. Never had any issues with it. I don't print pictures and I've never used the fax feature so I can't comment on how it does with those. The only thing I wish it had is duplex printing but for the price I paid, I can't complain.

FYI: This is a long dead, year old thread that was revived for a specific question about the Canon MP960. The OP must have bought his printer by now. :D

Hey, Applebobber, I'm still using the same MP960 at 4 years and counting now and still scanning with no problems whatsoever. I use the Canon MP Navigator 3.0 app (not sure if there is a newer version. I haven't updated in a while) but Image Capture will scan just as effectively. You shouldn't have any problems at all. :D

Cheers.

Thanks for the quick follow up SaSa! Was going to send ya a private message today about this but realized I don't have that capability until I hit the "5 post" mark... ; P

Hope all's well in Japan, and thanks for your friend add! Will try the 3.0 app after my OS update. : )
