SO, I cancelled my order overnight last night in a hunch that 38mm would be too small.
Amex called my job (!!!!!) wanting to verify the charge. i believe that had i not cancelled it'd be preparing to ship and in my hands monday/tuesday.
told her i did indeed order and cancel, and would probably be ordering a new one, once i verified size.
Apple rep let me try his 42mm, that sealed. both these watches are small, so i definitely will go with the 42mm.

We seem to have lost audio on the OP during the last couple of hours. I bet she's too busy playing with her new watch.
LOl omg this thing is awesome!!! awesomely confusing!! decided to drive up to apple and put insurance on it and while i was there has someone show me at least the basics!!! maybe I'm getting too old...i remember laughing at my mom when she couldn't do basics on a vcr and here i am!

which also leads me to let you all know...dont believe anything they tell you over the phone...lol while at the store i got a more direct line to someone from apple who knows his stuff and although he was very very helpful in answering all my questions about the modern buckle and things like that he himself did not believe that i ordered this watch yesterday and received it today..he had to look up my order and even he was shocked!! only two sales people in that whole store received a watch! i had one of them come up and ask me if he could look at my box that the watch came in. LOL he was so amazed!! I'm like its just a box!!!
So basically our chances of getting this thing within the next few days or hell even week are slim to none. That is unless you get extremely lucky lol.
no thats not true...alot of people that ordered this before and after me go them!! thats what i am saying just keep hopeful!! I'm sure they will all move again around monday. its prob just a weekend thing that they are not shipping right away now.
Seems like it. I caved and ordered one just because I had been seriously considering the 38mm and thought I'd give it a chance, but that was almost 30 hours ago at this point. It's probably not going to ship and I think I'll just end up waiting for my 42mm Milanese preorder to ship.
Hope so, will keep my fingers crossed something moves next week.
Im set on the 38mm but had a white SB Stainless ordered since the 24th. I decided to roll the dice on this and while it didn't workout like it did for others it at least got me a 2-3 week time frame instead of 4-6 like my White sport band that is also still processing.
I know that when you order and when your watch actually changes to "preparing to ship" and you have been charged seems to be completely random. Does anyone know if you can no longer cancel the watch online, does that mean it is close to moving to "preparing"? I looked quickly in some threads but didn't come across anything. Just curious if this is a sign or it just changed in their system for some reason. Personal experience and/or any cross-threading of topic is welcome.

watch after I ship the blue one.pretty sure from what i've observed, that if you can no longer cancel the order, it means it is preparing to ship, and you should have a watch on your wrist within 48 hours or so....

check the card you charged it on for a charge, if it's there... consider yourself lucky....
i know a guy in vegas just got his email saying to get ready, but he ordered his watch weeks ago.... same style SS classic 38
this leads me to believe it's completely regional based

So I am an impatient person. I found someone locally selling a 42mm white sport unopened for 50$ over list. I jumped on it. Cancelled my 01:41:Xx am launch day preorder as well. So 2 lucky people just got bumped up in the line. Good luck and God speed!

can you post a screen shot of what your order screen looks like that you can't cancel?
I just thought things were delayed or short and not much else,cut reading things in here and the no band situation, this launch is really bizarre. It seems like a startup companies launch rather than apples. No one knows how stuff ships out, stores have nothing to offer really and none of the extra bands can be found anywhere.
