I ordered my SS 38 on Thursday the 14th.
It shipped Friday the 15th.
It will arrive Monday the 18th.

If I don't like the size my wife will like it. I think. ;)

I ordered a 38mm SS BSB yesterday at 12:45 PM EDT. Delivery time said 2-3 weeks. I just checked the order status today at 9:23 AM EDT and it says "Preparing for Shipment." I don't have a tracking number yet and have not received an email from UPS My Choice but it looks like this one is still shipping quickly. Thanks to this thread. I sold both my 42MM SS and 42MM SG Sport this week for offers I couldn't refuse and I was going through withdrawals.

Guys my 14 day trial is up tomorrow, my watch is going back today :( ...waiting on the 42mm till June, the 38mm is just a tad too small for me....

I figured you were going to return yours. I thought you had already done so.

I have 2 38mm SS with BSB, but I am having a hard time justifying it. I like it, but I don't 'love' it.

The return policy is 14 days. I read somewhere that it was 14 business days, but I would check with Apple if you're on the fence.

How much time did you have with the 42mm, I'd be curious to see how find the size / usability of the 38mm...

I sold the 42mm SS unopened so I didn't use it but the 42mm SG I used for about 2 days. I actually traded the 42 SS for the 42 SG (plus cash) so that's how I ended up with that one.

I'm curious as well as I found that either the 38 or the 42 suited me well during a try-on session.

I actually had a 38mm SG on order after the try-on appointment as I was thinking I preferred that size but the 42 wasn't as obscenely large as I was expecting. Sure, it looks like a smartwatch, but it wasn't that obtrusive.

So my 38mm Space Grey BSB is still on Processing. If I were to order a SS BSB would it ship faster? I'm in the US. I'm seriously considering canceling my order.

Yes, much faster. Space Grey Sport has a fairly long wait time. I ordered a 38mm SS BSB on Wednesday and it is out for delivery today. If you order now you should have it by Wednesday, Thursday the latest. You can always just have both on order and cancel the one that doesn't ship first.

Personally, I find the SS to be worth the upgrade, the Sapphire crystal display is a huge safety net for me as I was constantly stressing about scratches when I had the sport. Plus, it's a lot nicer visually and goes well with many more bands compared to the aluminum casing on the Space Grey.

Agreed. The 38 SS with BSB will likely ship to you by the end of the week. Keep the SG order--particularly if you have been waiting any period of time. Hopefully you will end up with both at the same time and you can decide which one is best for you. Personally, I am on the fence as to whether SS is worthwhile for me over the Sport.

38mm: 1 Week In

I am 1 week in with my 38 mm SS BSB Apple Watch and I'm loving it. I was converted from waiting for the 42mm SGS that I ordered on May 5 with a ship date of July. When I found this thread I was only slightly tempted to order the 38mm, but was worried about the size. Several days passed and I popped back into this thread which finally convinced me to order one when I saw they were shipping roughly same week as ordering. I ordered on a Friday and got it that Tuesday.

For anyone worried about ditching your eternal 42mm SGS order and being disappointed with the screen size, I can say that from my experience the 38mm has been more than enough screen real estate. My wrists are at 180mm and I had to switch to the larger strap.

It is true that the 38mm looks slightly smaller in person than in pictures. When I got it the first day I was genuinely skeptical of the small size. After day 2 I was sold. A week in, I'm really enjoying and loving my apple watch. I do not think it is worth waiting 1-2 months for the larger size, though everyone's preferences are different.

Come over to the "dark side". We have watches!

Trial? Is there a restocking fee? Not that I want to return mine. I love it.

Nope just returned it and was refunded full amount, took 2 minutes.

I like it too, it was just too small for me, my brother's 42mm sport is perfect, so I'll just wait till June like everyone else :)
