any idea which 42mm sport i should buy if i want one fast? i've looked through the thread and there are various answers but all are several days old. i really want a black band and plan to buy one unless something breaks way loose on the space gray which i doubt will happen any time soon.
Any of them you can get fast........but you'll have to buy one on eBay or CL. I don't think any 42mm are moving quick unless you overpay.
I bought the 38mm SS BSB last night after seeing this thread and it is prepping for shipment this morning. I have a 42mm SG that I ordered April 19 and have only seen a June date for. I'm not sure which I'll actually like better as I still haven't even seen one in real life. I have tiny wrists, but also plan to give this watch to my Grandma Farkus when gen 2 comes out. I think she will like the 38mm better. Sad that here in Cook's alma mater of Auburn nobody has one yet. But I shall tomorrow or Friday hopefully. I figured I can always return it if I don't fall in love with it.

yeah i don't think i want one that fast. i may just wait till they are more readily available. i've order a couple and cancelled them and i think it's because i just can't handle odering today and having to wait weeks/months. i'm ok to wait days but something in my mind makes me regret the purchase when i see a very long lead time. can't quite put a finger on it and no i don't generally fall under the microwave mentality just something about this watch.
I went ahead and ordered a 38mm SS BSB since it looks like its shipping sooner than the 3-5 weeks would indicate. I already have a 42mm SGS on order for a "June" delivery so this will give me the chance to at least see if the 38 will be better for my skinny wrists than the 42.
Some questions:
1) if I order a 38 mm and don't cancel my 42mm, it arrives, I use the 38 mm for a few days and think it's too small... Can I return the 38 and get my money back?
2) are only the 38 Staineless Steel models being shipped quickly? What if I order a 38 white band sport or 38 space grey/black band sport? Will those be quicker? My 42mm black band/space grey currently says available to ship in June.

Absolutely. You have 14 business days to return the watch to Apple.
38mm stainless steel is the only fast-shipping model I know about. All Space Grey models are very slow to ship. Sport models are slow, too.
According to the website, the sport says 3-5 weeks which is the same as the Staineless steel... Is that information incorrect?
Those estimates are wack. I don't know why they overestimate the 38mm SS so much. I guess they want to continue giving the impression that all of the watches are in high demand.
Ordered a SS 38mm yesterday for my wife and it went pfs last night some time. And should ship today for tomorrow delivery.
So should I not order the 38mm sport... Or will it be quicker then my 42mm from April 16?
Sorry if not wearing a small monitor on my arm is against your style initiative. I wear what I like when I wish to. I have dress watches and sport watches. I find this watch as good as any 42mm as I wore both. Not that I need to justify my choice to you or anyone. (Except my wife of course )

This watch has said "Processing Items Available to ship July" since May 8.
It was painful watching her setup her watch and coaching her through the basics knowing it will be several weeks before I see mine. The only good thing out of it is that I get to see if any sport alternative bands come out in the mean time. I plan on running with the watch.

It must be the band. I ordered the same watch with BSB on Sunday (5/10) and had it on my wrist by Tuesday. This is for the US.
The shipping times slipped on the website last week. It was 1-2 weeks and changed to 3-4 weeks on Thursday or Friday.
welp ordered my SS 38mm BSB last night around 8pm CST and it went to prepping for shipment late last night. just got the text that it will be delivered tomorrow. amazing.
