Want to sell iPhone 4...what phone to use until 5 comes out?

Just sold my iPhone 4 16GB here in the UK for £360 on eBay, pretty happy with the deal considering I've had the phone since release and it has a few nicks on it.

Using a Vodafone 345 till I can get my hands on the next iPhone
Lets just hope the wait isn't too long!

My suggestion is to browse at Craigslist and look for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 for $80-$120. Reliable phones. Meet the seller ALWAYS at a public place. I usually try to meet them at a local library or mall.

Either the BlackBerry Bold 9000 or the Samsung Focus make solid choices for a loaner. If you want, just get an older iPhone like the original or 3G. They go for pretty cheap too. Then when you have the iPhone 5, resell them back. It is that easy. The guy who bought a Bold 9000 paid me only $10 more ($90) than what I bought it for. Then I told him to sell it for $120-$130 which he is doing right now. Nobody is losing here. Just make sure the phone works.

That is all I do with CL. I buy used phones for cheap and if I want my money back or get bored with it, I sell it for the same or above the price I bought it for. I really have nothing to lose. Smartphones for $80-$130 are usually a good deal for most people and have high resell value. Craigslist offers almost like a FREE RENTAL for these different platforms.

I would recommend a Go Phone. Just go into your nearest ATT store and pick up the cheapest one you can. You will only be using it for a month and a half tops. I have a friend who just sold his 3gs in preparation for the 5 and that's what he did.

I could never sell my iPhone 4 early in preparation for next refresh. I understand maximizing the amount of money you make on the phone, but I wouldn't be able to do without my iPhone. I suppose if I purchased an inexpensive Andriod or BlackBerry phone, I would be okay. That's why those of you on AT&T have it a bit better since you could always use your old 3GS or 3G to hold you over until the new iPhone is released.

i am still using my ancient iPhone 3g (what's left of it, well i love it though, i gotta give it to that thing, it's durable) I wanted to get a new iPhone like in April or May of 2011 but then said hey, new iPhones come around every June, i shall wait. Then they said end of august i said i can wait. Then it turned out to be October. No one waited this long, i would buy an iPhone 4 but i don't want to use a 1 year old technology, even though it's a great phone, i know it will be outdated soon. I am still waiting with my iPhone 3g, slow as hell and etc...

And now they say there won't be a 5, instead a 4s kind of thing.

i would cry if i didn't have a life but luckily i have one and i just got irritated by the fact i've waited this much.

Introduce the damn phone already.

I'm using a iPhone 3G with iOS 4 after selling my ip4.. Someone shoot me I can't take it much longer. lol
