um you could check out mac-forums.com
Bah, I got banned there for writing "damn that's sexy" on an 3rd-gen iPhone mockup.

I puked on my MacBook Pro and had my keyboard replaced without demanding it be covered under Apple Care
Other (not Mac related) forums I hang out at with a similarly high volume of posts -- and that are running the same vBulletin software -- have implemented a feature where users can include/exclude the forums they get posts from when they hit the "New Posts" link.
It really makes for a cleaner interface when the people that don't care about (for example) industry news or music discussions don't have to wade through all of the posts to do with those topics.
If a Mod wants to PM me, I can share specific examples.
Thanks, I overlooked that expecting to see an alpha list of forum names. But this works too.Yes, we have that feature. Head to User CP --> Edit Options. In the "Thread Display Options" section, the last field ("Exclude Forums") allows you to enter ID numbers for forums you'd like to exclude from New Posts searches.
May I ask what content MR has missed covering that you felt was helpful?
I remember when this site was 95% Mac rumours. There'd be a thousand posts in threads speculating about the possibility of an upgrade from a 1.5GHz G4 to a 1.67GHz G4 in the PowerBook.
Super mega boring.
Things are more fun and interesting now.
Oh yeah, stories about point upgrades in the iPhone operating system are so much more interesting, along with reviews of Aps that are primarily notable because they are so silly.
Lets face it, everyone thinks minor information about a product they don't use is "Super mega boring."
The 1.5 to 1.67 GHz upgrade I would be more interested in than . . ."Possibly Leaked Images of Next iPhone? And Other Sketchy Rumors"
Can't you just ignore the iPhone forums?
LOL...
Here's a screenshot I took of the RSS list of MacRumor's frontpage (taken today, June 19 @ 21:20 CET)....
Nothing "Mac", all "iPhone"....

The iPhone is a mini-Mac. Don't knock it.
If it makes you feel better, you could use applerumors.com so that all the news you see is about Apple as a company, not Macs.
