Great excuse for AT&T to take this away from us now. Awesome.
Looks like streamings back on the menu boys!!! 🏴☠️Let's see how many people just put the pirate hat back on.
Will AT&T plans still include this service?
Nevermind.

The next name is going to be . Just no letters nothing, just nothing.
You can slap "Max" on anything. Disney+ can become "Disney Max." Netflix can introduce a new tier called "8K Max."I agree that "Max" is a generic name... kinda like calling your app store "The App Store"
Right. "HBO" in the name says or suggests "watchable content." You don't really get that from just "Max".The HBO brand is iconic. I don't understand this move. It would be like if Disney + changed their name to just "Plus"
I'm sure those of us that were force-fed HBO Max by AT&T will wind up either dropping Max altogether or getting the ad-lite version or some crap. I can't imagine AT&T being nice enough to just give us the 2-stream ad-free and call it a day. Will AT&T plans still include this service?

Works the other way, also for Discovery+ subscribers that aren't interested in the most of the junk on HBO Max.It’s a bummer that HBO is going the way of Netflix. Adding a bunch of crap HBO subscribers didn’t want.
Probably working out for them in the money department but it doesn’t give me warm fuzzies.
Discovery+ will still be offered standalone though so that segment of people is unaffected.Works the other way, also for Discovery+ subscribers that aren't interested in the most of the junk on HBO Max.
Maybe they thought that like Kanye --> Ye was so cool, they'd do it.HBO Now > HBO Max > Max
That's like 3 names within a decade. Does anyone want to guess the next name?
There was HBO GO as well
I was TLDR all the way to the last sentence of the article! Thanks.Discovery+ will still be offered standalone though so that segment of people is unaffected.
Kinda an apples and oranges situation. It's just called "The App Store" because it's the exclusive way to get apps on the iPhone, and only iPhones use it so there's no reason to call it the "iPhone App Store". They're not trying to advertise the store to any other smartphone userI agree that "Max" is a generic name... kinda like calling your app store "The App Store"
You can just tick the switch to "Free to Me" and it hides all the paid for content. What I wish they'd do is add a filter for "All content / Add-Free content only". I cannot stand what something starts up in FreeVee and a 30 minute video has 10 non-skippable add blocks - usually breaking in the middle of dialog.Prime video is such a UX disaster that I'd never pay for it on it's own (I get prime for 2 day shipping)...they really need to stop mixing included/free and paid/subscription content in the same lists.
Sorry, it does not look good , since they will change the name it will be whole different app that you need to subscribe to it.That is the million-dollar question for me.
