What happened to the year 29,940 that the Classic era Macs could go to before reaching their end date?

Classic Macs (pre-10.x) used a completely different, non-Unix OS, and counted time differently. Since the Mac OS is entirely Unix-based now, it is subject to the same limitations of that foundation.
