Did you wear a different watch, before the Apple Watch?

Just bought my AWU two weeks ago. My wife and son have had theirs for years, but I never liked the design - too small for me, until the Ultra. But I’m still having a hard time wanting to wear it all the time.

My dress watches have a lot of meaning for me, look awesome, and are always conversation pieces.

Omega Speedmaster mechanical w/alternating NATO straps - wife bought for me our first Christmas married

TAG Monaco LS automatic - wife bought for my change of command

Citizen Skyhawk Eco Drive - wife bought and sent me for my birthday on my last deployment

Garmin Fenix 5x sapphire - don’t really like it but was issued to me and I don’t care that I beat the crap out of it flying.

So when I don’t wear one of the first three, I feel like I’m cheating on my nice watches. Plus my wife bought me an Oura ring a year ago for sleep/fitness tracking since I just wanted to wear my nice watches.

Was never a watch wearer. I couldn’t see the point when I’ve got dozens of devices all around me desperate to show me the time.

Now I feel weird without it. Go figure.

I know what you mean.

I kind of see it as a wrist computer, that tells the time.

I have my eye on the Santos De Cartier: Gold/SS looks superb, and just commands attention.

I've never liked Rolexes, as I feel they look to bulky for me.

I have small wrists, and wear the 41mm Apple Watch.

I don’t like so much, for now, squared mechanical watches, but Santos from Cartier is an evergreen. Gold/SS is something less common that is, for sure, nice looking (at least in my opinion 😊) 👍🏻
