Thats good. I heard if you wash your hands, the reception is possibly better due the oil that was on it..

Incorrect. As Steve Jobs explained today you have to use the bumper regardless of the cleanliness of you hands :D

nah both running the same version mate.

Huh, that's odd. Well, I applaud you for returning your iPhone 4 instead of keeping it yet complaining at the same time. Make sure they know why you returned it, so we can have more stats at their next conference :p

I stopped watching at the Evo video. Cause everyone holds their phone with two hands while talking.

Sorry, not true. No other phone has an external antenna that you can directly touch with bare skin. All phones suffer attenuation but not detuning. It is no where as much an effect as detuning as seen on the iPhone 4. Consumer Reports, Anandtech have corroborated. I haven't seen all these videos, but many require unusual ways of holding, essentially trying to block the signal from the antenna. This is very different from a normal touch which happens to bridge the two antennas on the iPhone 4.

Consumer reports went so far as to call the comparison practically a lie. Steve Jobs continued this campaign of confusion. Most consumers can not sort out the difference. Steve Job's and Apple's credibility will continue to suffer. Steve is harming the brand image by this grandiose attitude. Never admitting a mistake, instead throwing it in consumers face. Look how many we've sold and how few returns we've had. I dare you to return your phone. There are people waiting behind you.

Consumers should not react well to this. But this is the same guy who has the nerve to decide what applications you are permitted to run on your phone and iPad. Will he decide what you can run on your Mac next?
This is the same guy who has the nerve to tell developers how to "originally" write their programs regardless of what it does or how well it functions.
This is the same guy who has the nerve to at a whim rewrite terms and conditions to disallow Admod ads while allowing Apple iAds.

Steve Jobs has unfortunately become too full of himself. Unfortunately I've never seen anyone willingly step down from such hubris.

Love the phone 4 cosmetics, love the appstore, gf has 3gs and loves it, but i cannot handle having an iphone4 that cost me £625 including the bumper, and not have it work how it should of and states.

Apples conference made me angry and im not being snubbed.

i will buy another phone when its all sorted and i dont have to wait over 3 weeks for a phone.

as for the apps ive bought, i will use them on my ipod touch.

sorry apple, you created a phone that didnt work, you blew it.

Trolls do you're worse :)

I gather you're the less than 1% XD

Sounds like you don't even own an iPhone 4. Are you basing this on media reports ?

My iPhone works great without a case. So not every iPhone 4 out there is defective.

Interesting how this so called "Controlled" environment has been a huge success for Apple. This is why Apple has great apps, why you can download an app from the App store and know that you are safe, and why people put their trust behind Apple products.

You want an Open environment, you want spyware and viruses on your phone, you want to put whatever you want on your phone, then buy an Android.

I guess without an iPhone there will be no need for you to continue posting here! So long! Adios.

What a crock. Just because its not personally approved by Apple doesn't mean its automatically SPYWARE, VIRUSES or all sorts of other SCARY words.

Do you own a PC? A Mac? How do you live with yourself? There might be SCARY things out there that you might install on your machine. What about web surfing. Might go to some BAD website. Some unsanitized content. Better not surf the web at all.

Grow up. You can make your own decisions. You should be responsible enough to decide what you install on your laptop and what you install on your phone. You don't need daddy Steve to decide for you.

Reality is that Apple's marketing spin. They love the control. They keep their competitors off the platform. They get to keep 30% of any app you install. Whats not to love.

An unregulated system is more prone to viruses and spyware, this is just logic.

As far as downloading apps for your Mac goes, there's always apple.com/downloads or download.com from CNET, both extremely reliable sources.

It's not just spin. Control is good. If you don't like the walled garden, nobody's keeping you against your will! :p

For the just return it crowd. Returning a phone is not like returning a sweater. If you came from a different network or you sold your phone. I did it once it was a major pain in the ass. I will wait for the iphone 4gs like I did with my 3 gs :)

These threads never end well.

LOL...not only that, they just never end. It's like asking an obvious question and seeing how many pages of the same answer you get. The upside is you can safely ignore everyone after the first response because none of the rest of them bother reading the thread. :D
