Watch bands: Two pieces?

Ah, yes of course. You're right. 🙂 Anyway, anyone losing half their watch band is a real dope. It's such an oddball non-problem thing to worry over, if anyone plans on getting more than one Watch band, just put the unused one(s) in a drawer or such.

<--Will probably get both the white and black sports bands for my steel watch, together with black classic leather buckle. Not planning on losing any of these by the way, heh...

Haha, well said! I'm also planning on getting the black classic leather buckle with my SS Watch, it looks so nice in the renders! However, if the SS is really twice the price as the Sport model (as some people seem to think) I will have to settle for aluminum.

I might try that. Not interested in an all white band, but a black and white band might be cool, like you are wearing a Yin-Yang bracelet.

Be pretty cool to mix a green and white one while working out.

I'm not saying I do myself, but I know a lot of people that have done these types of things (not the show 😉). I myself am very careful with my devices and tech in general. But it's be ignorant to say that no one drops their phone in the toilet or lose phone accessories. I'm not worried about myself, I'm just curious to see how it plays out with the general public.

But until now, most watch bands were something you put on when you bought the watch, then you never took it off. But people are planning to buy multiple Apple watch bands to swap regularly. That's something new.

But this is different than any watch band before imo. The tech of the actual band isn't much different (except maybe it being a little easier to remove and put on), it's a watch, and you have to store the band. The defining difference is that isn't all from one company, and they are actively trying to promote these bands. It's like with phones. Phones had problems before the iPhone came out, buggy, bloatware, etc. But with apple promoting their phone making it seem premium, and having hundreds of millions in sales, all of the problems are concentrated towards one company. I understand what everyone is saying that it's just a band, but I think it'll be interested to see how this concentration on one company plays out. I may have butchered that explanation, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

That's not really anything new. People (especially watch collectors) have been swapping out bands for many years now and the first person who misplaced a piece of a watch band happened long before you were born.

Ok, maybe watch collectors do this, but I've never done it, and I've never known anyone doing it. Not that I've ever discussed watch bands with people, so maybe some people I know have been doing this and I never noticed. But still, it's not like if I go into a watch store or open up a watch catalogue, I see ads urging people to buy new watch bands to give your watch a fresh look.
