Does anyone know how to get the apple watch keyboard alert on my iPhone to stop popping up every time I look at my watch?

Hi, I've tried to download the watchOS 10 beta. Once the watch was starting to do its thing it gets stuck in the installation process (apple logo) and won't boot up. I've tried waiting (for hours), rebooting the watch and the same thing happens :-( when I reboot it asks for my passcode - I enter it and it gets stuck again. Any solutions for this problem?

/M

I got this issue with the blue font after upgrading to watchOS 10 and iOS 17. The only way i was able to solve it, was unpairing Watch, DFU Full Restore of iPhone with iOS 17 IPSW and reconfiguring everything. Dont know what causes this issue but it was really weird and annoying. Anyone else had this issue. I have iPhone 14 Pro and Apple Watch Ultra.

You can fix this by unpairing the watch and the phone and pair it again while not restoring it through a backup. Do you already have iOS 17 installed ? That need to be done first.

Hi Intelmaster! Thx for the reply. I managed to unpair the watch but how can I pair it again when the watch is stuck in installation? Yes iOS 17 is installed. /M

I have a power meter on my bike.. Gave it a test and it found left and right crank arms, shows power and can mirror to my phone…

I have an Ultra on the beta. Went into the watch’s Bluetooth and it found my Quark power meter which I added and it shows it’s connected.

Unfortunately Workout, Outdoor Cycle doesn’t have a data field for the power meter and no new power screen was added.

Did you have to do anything in the Workout app to get the power meter fields to show up?

I’m honestly not sure what people are referring to on scrolling through watch faces. When I long press my current face, I can scroll left and right and select a different face just as before.

Sorry, I should have made that clearer. I’m not referring to scrolling through Watch faces, but rather using the Digital Crown to manipulate some of the built in watch faces when you have them on display.

For example on the Solar Dial face you could turn the Digital Crown to move the sun arc throughout the day and therefore see sunrise, sunset, civil/aviation twilight times etc.

If turning the Digital Crown now brings up widgets a few different watch faces will lose their specific functionality unless they come up with another way.

I'm loving the changes to the UI on WatchOS10, but one thing I can't figure out is how do you change the Ultra watch face to red (for night time) now that turning the Digital Crown brings up widgets?

Installed it on my Ultra yesterday evening, battery life took a small hit but it has been less than 24 hours, so let's see with more time.

Like it so far, only thing that is annoying is the fact you can't swipe through the faces anymore, hopefully it will come back in a later beta, I can't see why they would remove that feature.

I love the auto night mode on the Ultra based on ambient light now, I was wondering why it wasn't there in the first place when I bought the Ultra.
Has that replaced the turning the Digital Crown to activate night mode?

Since swiping up brings up the widgets, I see the turning of the crown unnecessary for widgets. They should return the prior function for what you mentioned.

Go to edit the watchface, there's a new NightTime option for On/Off/Auto

What data did the workout save to health? Really curious if cadence, and the L/R power was saved or if it’s a combined power.
I don’t even have a power meter.. but might one day 😁
According to dcrainmaker on the web, "[the watch will] connect to dual-sided power sensors, but only writes the data as the total power. It doesn’t sound like they’re opposed to writing left/right power, but it just didn’t make the cut for June announcement. It will [also] write cadence data from the power meter."

Anyone figure out how to get topo maps to show up in Maps?

I have a map downloaded, have tried turning off wifi/cellular in case it only uses offline maps, zoom in on an area where there should be topo info but nothing.

I’m also looking for how to search for hike trails (sorry if someone else posted on this… I searched but didn’t see anything). Maybe it’s not in this beta?

Don't have WatchOS10 but did install iOS17. From what I've seen online, I don't think those features are live yet.

Any issues tracking workouts? I'm on a pretty decent streak and don't want to end up screwing the pooch if tracking minutes, calories, etc. is jacked up. I'm surprised I've waited this long as usually I'm on the betas day 1, but since I've become more active that's holding me back.

Could you please check if wrist temperature still has the algorithm version 1. You can check it from the Heath App->Wrist Temperature->Show All Datas->Select a data

I did a workout today and it tracked the same as a previous workout I did.

Really pleased to see my Apple Watch pair effortlessly with my Schwinn 800IC (IC8) bike. Cadence and Speed tracking well. Bit of lag and might need to calibrate but lots of options it seems.

There is one thing in watchOS 10 and maybe connected to iOS 17. Its the calculation of the kcal you burned during the day. It seems that the calculation changed internally.. in my experience today and yesterday i had more calories burned during activities but i had less total calories. For me it looks like the calculation and maybe the mathematics behind it was changed and optimized but i am not honestly not 100% sure about it.

Hey guys, Before installing the Dev beta I wanted to know

1. Whether it's possible to revert back from WatchOS 10 Dev Beta to WatchOS 9 stable, By sending the watch to Apple Service.

2. It's worth it to install the Dev Beta.

Thanks in advance.
